UPDATE FROM TERRI'S VIGIL SITE ON LOCATION... by floriduh voter and drk4the1: TERRI IS NOT BEING RE-HYDRATED AT MORTON PLANT HOSPITAL IN CLEARWATER, FL. The Governor's Office is under the impression and reporting that the procedure started at 7:07 pm. While it's being reported to the family attorney that she is not going to receive anything. A telephonic hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 pm est with Judge Douglas Baird re: Michael Schiavo's suit against Gov. Bush and his executive order of today. Additionally, Michael S. is disputing his removal as Terri's legal guardian. Anything helpful appreciated. Contact floriduh voter or the drk screen name. We are outside fighting the mosquitoes. H E L P !!!!!

They're trying to save her life right now; I'm not sure a room full of stuffed animals will help that. They do not permit flowers, etc., in the ICU at our local hospitals. I would ask a representative of the family before starting anything like that.

Ok Jorge. To believe that she is only being "reflexive" let's take it one step further. How many days, weeks or months would someone have to stand by Terri with a video camera until she "reflexes" in exactly the right way?

I've heard "experts" state that a five month old fetus is just a lump of tissue.

Actually, we've been looking at the videos of her looking around, making eye contact, smiling... but don't let that affect your judgement any. Just listen to the nice newscaster.

Funny, all the medical experts in this field have seen the same videos, examined her and concluded that she is in a permanent vegetive state with no hope of recovery.

But don't let the medical experts affect your judgement.

I understand there are times that this is the case .. but these video's do show that she is alert

However, Judge Geer has refused any rehabilitation for this women .. he refused any tests to be done on this women .. he even refused to appoint her an independent guardian

Bottom line .. he refused Terry's her basic constitutional rights

You are correct - that's why I always call around to the ERs first to see how crazy it is and baring an ambulance hauling in an unconscious head injury - how long it may be - I have always found the intake triage nurses to be most helpful.

We are blessed with 5 hospitals in our area (Oakland CA) so one can be a bit picky if there is time.

Why don't you go to Terri's site and look at her videos and then decide for yourself whether Terri is in a "vegetative state" or not. I've watched the videos and she's Severely brain damaged but not vegetative!!

I especially like the music video where she smiles when they play a tape of piano music. The audios are SUPER and are definitely her trying to say " YES"....

If not, make sure you watch it to the end. It lasts only about 30 seconds. The last 5 seconds are amazing.
