Jeb Bush Detractors can leave their apologies here.

Posted on 10/21/2003 2:47:00 PM PDT by Pukin Dog

If the moderators will allow this thread, I would like to hear from those with courage enough to admit their mistakes in attacking Governor Jeb Bush, "suggesting that blood would be on his hands", calling him a murderer and worse with no evidence to back up their assaults.

While today is a great day, I would like to know how many people are willing to stand up and admit their wrongs?

Some may think it unnecessary, but I think a pound of flesh is in order, in a single place were we can all see and read about it. Please remove if this is out of bounds, but in all the congradulatory threads, I dont see too many folks willing to suck it up.

#8 - ...Governor Bush. He was unjustly attacked.

Let's be thankful, and hope Terri is well. I haven't heard any definite news about her yet.

...unjustly attacked. ??? Give it a few days / weeks and I might have plenty to say about it. But not at this time.

Wed.; Thurs. = 24hrs. + + + + +...(some one can figure it out...) Days without food or water.
W-a-y   too   s-l-o-w.   - But again, Thanks Jeb! AND the Florida lawmakers, and citizens that rallied!!

I couldn't imagine expecting an elected official to break the law, and refuse to vote for him (or his brother) if he didn't. That's because I'm not a Democrat.

If the entire Navy Bureaucracy could not get rid of the Pukin Dogs, who am I to change it? They tried to make us go back to "Griffons" for years, then they tried removing the "Pukin". They only gave up a few years ago.

Yes, I apologize. When nothing was susposedly being done and it was the weekend, I was very upset. Then it was posted that Terri's Bill was a hoax and that JEB had lied about wanting to help. Yes, I was wrong. JEB did help. The wheels turned slowly, but would they have turned at all if not for the aid of a load of greasy emails? Let's hope the wheels turned fast enough that Terri survives and has no irreparable damage. I don't know if he could have approached the issue from another angle or through DCF and this would have been set right sooner than 6 days on or not. But it's been done and if it's too late to bring Terri back to health then maybe it will help others. This is a good day.

Thank you, Gov. Bush. Thank you, Florida legislators. Thank you to everyone who took Terri into their hearts and made this happen. Thank you, God.

I will add my ditto to your reply. He's a heck of a committeeman, but not much of a leader. I would also note from an e-mail from his staff, detailing the text of his executive order that he issued regarding the Schindler's plea for a stay on her execution, the following wording: "A. Effective immediately, continued withholding of nutrition and hydration from Theresa Schiavo is hereby stayed."

This man had the authority to do this before today, then seek this extra bill from the legislature. He lacked the political courage to do so and Terri has been without hydration or nutrition for seven days. Pray she has not sunk further in her brain damage due to the build up of toxins in her blood stream.

Allow me to let you in on the dirty little FR secret. Those who go around saying they "will never vote for W/Jeb/insert other R here again" and other such things are most often the folks who never intended to anyway.

He's a heck of a committeeman, but not much of a leader.

Speaking as someone who actually lives in his state, I heartily disagree.

I'm not an attorney nor a constitutional scholar, but post 21 is the sort of thing that comes to my mind. Where's my calculator, - how many days / hours without food and water?

[partial]- He could have sent troopers in 4 days ago and had her removed. He could have done a number of things, none of them "legal". This was not a legal decision, this was a MORAL Decision and he lacked the moral courage to act. -21- - by Leatherneck_MT

I'm happy for you, and I'm certainly glad our President is not like his brother, indecisive, wet finger in the air, seeking political cover before acting on a life or death issue of a woman's Constitutional Rights violated (as per his own amicus brief to the Lazzara court). Some are touting him to run against Hillary in 2008. I sure hope he becomes more decisive by then ... so I won't have to hold my nose while voting for him.

I have already been targeted by other freepers here, with the same agenda as yours. I saw this as a good oppurtunity to voice my thoughts on the matter. I see no need to polarize people here.

I don't think anyone who was trying to help Terri or her family or our country was wrong to think and /or feel the way they did. If someone responded emotionaly to the idea of an unjust death by starvation , I call them human , not idots or asses.

"Nanny nanny do do I told you so", is a kid' game.

He didn't, bonehead. You're one of the blood on his hands neanderthals.

Why don't you just admit you were wrong, instead of dancing around like a clown?

Oh, and Drobot fits in here too, with his silly "Jello" campaign.

Honestly, I didn't think Jeb would actually do it, but I sent him an email anyway. Thankfully, Governor Bush proved me wrong.
