I CALLED JEB'S OFFICE. THE LADY SAID THE BILL HAS PASSED AND THAT THE GOVERNOR WAS GOING TO SIGN IT.

But we still have this problem:
George Felos, a lawyer for Michael Schiavo, asked a judge to stop Bush even before he received the bill. A hearing was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon

Fla. passes bill allowing feeding tube By JACKIE HALLIFAX The Associated Press 10/21/2003, 4:12 p.m. ET TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Lawmakers sent Gov. Jeb Bush a bill Tuesday that will give him the power to order a feeding tube reinserted into a brain-damaged woman at the center of one of the nation's longest and most bitter right-to-die battles. Bush said he will immediately sign the bill and order the tube to be reinserted into Terri Schiavo. The woman's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, want her to live. Her husband, Michael Schiavo, says she would rather die.

This is outstanding!

I don't understand why the Governor should have the power to make decisions on these cases.
Granted, the law is a mess in this area, but granting the Governor dictatorial power over families, doctors and patients is a cure that's worse than the disease.

``This bill so oversteps our role it ... turns democracy on its head,'' said Rep. Dan Gelber, D-Miami Beach. Did this mental giant happen to explain his opinion?

What is it with liberals? They will fight tooth and nail to keep a convicted/guilty serial killer from getting the gas, but then object to a family who wants keep their innocent daughter alive. It would be one thing if there was a Living Will, but if there is even the shadow of a doubt, shouldn't we error on the side of life. Isn't that always the arguement against the Death Penalty? You just have to love their reasoning...protect the guilty but condemn the innocent.

>>>Earlier in Tampa, U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday denied a request by an advocacy group that Schiavo be kept alive so it could investigate whether removal of the tube was abusive.
HEADS WILL ROLL.

Does Pat know the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit???

Praise the LORD! Our prayers have been answered!
Please Lord, sustain this dear child of Yours until the feeding tube is returned to her.......

"I do not believe the governor of Florida should be making a decision of life and death rather than the next of kin," said Sen. Steven Geller, D-Hallandale.
Typical logic from a DemocRAT. As if Sen. Stupid Galler was not aware that it was indeed Terri's parents (next of kin) who requested Gov. Bush to reinsert her feeding tube !!!
