Mahathir: Jew comment out of context [More outrageous remarks from Malaysian president]

Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad says his comments about Jews during a speech at an Islamic summit last week, which prompted harsh criticism in the West, had been taken out of context.

``In my speech I condemned all violence, even the suicide bombings, and I told the Muslims it's about time we stopped all these things and paused to think and do something that is much more productive. That was the whole tone of my speech, but they picked up one sentence where I said that the Jews control the world,'' he told Bangkok Post in an exclusive interview yesterday, which covered aspects of his 22 years as leader of Malaysia, as well as his straight-forward views on terrorism, democracy and US policy.

Dr Mahathir added, however, that ``the reaction of the world shows that they [Jews] do control the world''.

During a speech at the Organisation of Islamic Conference in Malaysia last week, Dr Mahathir said Jewish people, because of their ties with the United States, had an influence in the world which far outweighed their numbers.

``It cannot be that there is no other way; 1.3 billion Muslims cannot be defeated by a few million Jews,'' he said.

The United States, Israel, Australia and the European Union have accused Dr Mahathir of anti-Semitism.

Dr Mahathir said the Americans and Europeans were out to condemn him.

The European Union had done nothing when Italian Prime Minister Silvio Burlesconi made a statement calling Muslims terrorists.

``Did the European Union pass a resolution to say that this was against Muslims? Why is it that when people condemn Muslims the European Union does not try to say anything?''

Dr Mahathir said his comments about Israel and Jews were true.

``Israel is a small country. There are not many Jews in the world. But they are so arrogant that they defy the whole world. Even if the United Nations say no, they go ahead. Why? Because they have the backing of all these people.''

Dr Mahathir said that in his speech he urged Israelis and Arabs to stop the killing and to think, pause and settle.

``I even quoted from the Koran, which says that when the enemy offers to make peace you must accept. I told the Muslims you must accept even if the terms are bad. You have to negotiate. This is the teaching of Islam. All that was in my speech... But those things were blacked out,'' he said.

What a lying sack of garbage; True to Islam Mahathir, the Prime Minister of Malaysia is lying to "unbelievers" in order to disarm and gain victory over them in the end.

As for his remarks on stopping the homicide bombings, in his speech he said that they were counter-productive, his advice was to stop them in order to hood wink the people in the world into believing that Islam was and is a religion of peace in order to get us to lower our defenses while the Islamists gather and strengthen their forces for the fight ahead. The following are his exact words on this matter and they are very telling:

Mahathir further called for winning over the West: "We must not antagonize everyone. We must win their hearts and minds..." He said that suicide attacks do not serve their purpose: "We must not strengthen the enemy by pushing everyone into their camps through irresponsible and un-Islamic acts." He then continued,

"[Our] counter-attack need not start only after we have put our houses in order. Even today we have sufficient assets to deploy against our detractors. It remains for us to identify them and to work out how to make use of them to stop the carnage caused by the enemy. This is entirely possible if we stop to think, to plan, to strategize and to take the first few critical steps... To do the things that are suggested will not even require all of us to give up our differences with each other. We need only to call a truce so we can act together in tackling only certain problems of common interests - the Palestine problem for example."

Sounds like a nice/reasonable fellow...NOT

As for his statement:

"``I even quoted from the Koran, which says that when the enemy offers to make peace you must accept. I told the Muslims you must accept even if the terms are bad. You have to negotiate. This is the teaching of Islam."

In the context of his speech Mahathir did in fact say they had to accept the peace treaty, however, this was in reference to the infamous Hudaibiyah treaty. You remember that is the treaty the liar/truce breaker Mohammed made and kept… only until he was strong enough to overwhelm and destroy the enemy he made it with. This is what Mahathir actually said about this and note, he quotes the Quran as the very reason for taking this despicable action in seeking to deceive and destroy your infidel enemy through making and breaking a peace treaty!

"In any struggle, in any war, nothing is more important than concerted and coordinated action. A degree of discipline is all that is needed. The Prophet lost in Jabal Uhud because his forces broke rank. We know that, yet we are unwilling to discipline ourselves and to give up our irregular and uncoordinated actions. We need to be brave but not foolhardy. We need to think not just of our reward in the afterlife but also of the worldly results of our mission.

"The Quran tells us that when the enemy sues for peace we must react positively. True the treaty offered is not favorable to us. But we can negotiate. The Prophet did, at Hudaibiyah. And in the end he triumphed...

"Of late because of their power and their apparent success they have become arrogant... They are already beginning to make mistakes. And they will make more mistakes. There may be windows of opportunity for us now and in the future. We must seize these opportunities..."

These are direct quotes from the wonderful leader of Malaysia:

Nice "religion" that Islam; doesn't it just make you want to convert, pick up a sword and castrate your wife and daughters, kill the infidels, and hack off the hands and feet of those who steal a piece of bread to assuage their hunger, all in the wonderful name of “Mohammed”, "Allah" and “Islam, the Religion of Peace” tm ?
