After 6 years on this forum, this is my very first "Vanity" posting!
Travis Magee sent his book in E-Book form to me and I have just finished it.
I am totally blown away! I consider this book to be the most important book I've ever read!
It contains a depth of knowledge that absolutely astounds me!
Old-timers know about Ruby Ridge, Waco, TWA-800, and clinton's treasonous dealings with the Red Chinese, and some know how close we came in '95 to a shooting resistance.
So, I recommend this book to all who may want to see why this book may instill enough trepidation in this government to refrain from making the mistake of further trashing our Constituion!
And Jeff, find out from Matt how he sent me his book and send me yours too! Ha!

This is for all you guys out there who have read the book. Ask the women in your lives to read it. The gun/freedom debate is too dominated by male voices, making the issue one of angry white males. We need the support of more women. Tell them that it's important to you that they understand how you view the issue. Your wives and girlfriends will be impressed that you want to share with them.
Tell them it reads like a John Grisham novel if they balk. Take the kids out of the house to give them time to start the book. Once they do, they'll be hooked. Offer to make or get dinner. Then after she finishes, talk about it. See what she thinks of it. Educate her to the importance of the 2nd ammendment to you, but don't get defensive or belligerent if she doesn't agree with you.
Next step is to set up a shooting date, try to bring another woman, experienced or not, or take her to a gun club meeting. Shooters are some of the nicest and most polite men I've ever met. At meetings with so few women, your woman will be treated like a queen. It does make quite an impression.
Off my soapbox now.
If you haven't read the book, do it. It's a fantastic read.

I'm way ahead of you, Betty, or should I say, my wife is! She glommed onto my copy the day it arrived and had it read in a week. She confesses to skimming through the overly-technical firearms stuff (her description), but thoroughly absorbed the primary message of the book. In her words, "Terrifying".
My mom's asked to borrow it next... $;-)

I searched Amazon for "bracken", "matthew bracken", "enemies foreign and domestic", and "enemies, foreign and domestic" with no relevant hits. Has Amazon removed the book?

make sure that you're searching the books section of Amazon. They have developed so many product categories, that you may have been in the wrong section.

It appears that Amazon has changed their search engine. It will find things based not on title or author but the inclusion of words in the text of the work. My search for "enemies foreign and domestic" returned over 7000 hits! Makes it impossible to wade through them all.
Travis, you might want to post the ISBN number on your website or this thread, that's the only way I can think of keeping the Amazon search to a minimum.

I was just there. The default for the search is all products. You have to select books for you r search. Enter the title, it comes up with three books, Matts is at the bottom.
To: Taipei Personality
Navigate to the "books" section and type in Mattew Bracken. It should take you straight to the book.

I did; it doesn't. I think Tijeras_Slim figured it out. I can click on "more search options" and enter both the author and title and it comes up. Oh well, I plan on ordering from Matt's web page anyway, I just wanted to see how easy it was to find on Amazon. It's not.
To: Taipei Personality
You can also order by credit card from the EFAD website's order page, through the link to gunsnetworks.net.

I thought it was kind of strange that I couldn't get it to come up in a search. After all, I did put a review of it on Amazon (there's other FReepers there too!)
Well, whatever way you get a copy, get one! Great read.

I read all 20 teaser chapters today after following the link. Great Work! Will be ordering the book immediately, hoping for a signed one even with typos... ;^)
To: GluteusMax
The signed first editions, or as I call them, the "aircraft hanger editions" may be worth real money some day. Sort of like the stamps with the upside down airplane.

I don't know why Amazon is acting this way today. So here's a link.

Chap, you got Fremail.
Ebooks for The Dragon's Fury Series about how current conditions leads to World War III have been available from day one. Just need to know which format, Adobe or Microsoft. Check your Fremail for details.
Anyhow, GREAT REVIEW of Matt's Enemies Foreign and Domestic. I believe it is one of the best 2nd amendment books ever written.
Way to go Matt!
To: patton
I ordered 1,000 for the first run but they over printed and I wound up with 1,100. The second edition will be for 2,000.
There are about 60 books left, and Amazon is scarfing up about 20+ a week, and increasing their orders every week. Then there are still some being sold by GunsNetworks LLC (AK-47.net) which can be linked from my order page. They bought 16 boxes of 16 books.
