Enemies, Foreign and Domestic
E-Book ^ | unkown | Matt Bracken

Posted on 10/20/2003 7:16:24 AM PDT by Chapita

After 6 years on this forum, this is my very first "Vanity" posting!

Travis Magee sent his book in E-Book form to me and I have just finished it.

I am totally blown away! I consider this book to be the most important book I've ever read!

It contains a depth of knowledge that absolutely astounds me!

Old-timers know about Ruby Ridge, Waco, TWA-800, and clinton's treasonous dealings with the Red Chinese, and some know how close we came in '95 to a shooting resistance.

So, I recommend this book to all who may want to see why this book may instill enough trepidation in this government to refrain from making the mistake of further trashing our Constituion!

And Jeff, find out from Matt how he sent me his book and send me yours too! Ha!

I also heartily endorse Matt's book it is well written and riveting besides detailing how things could evolve into a dirty war here on US soil.

I have diabetic retinopathy so I can read only what I can put on my computer screen! This is the first book I've actually read in well over 12 years. I've gotten audio books but they are not all that available.

I finished Matt's book last week. It held me spellbound and I could not put it down until it was done.

If one reads Enemies Foreign and Domestic, they will learn so much about how a rogue government agency could operate, and how ordinary people could avoid them and frustrate them. I may re-read the book soon and make a point of writing down all the 'wisdom' tidbits into a notebook. Enemies Foreign and Domestic will definitely be on the list of Books The Government Doesn't Want You To Read.

I finished the book just yesterday. I ordered it from Amazon.com. It took a 10 days for delivery, which they told me up front.

The book was so good, I read most of it Saturday and finished on Sunday morning. The plot is excellent and the story fast moving. The story became so real at points that I put the book down and went looking for up to date news here on Free Republic before realizing those things weren't really happening (yet). If you are a 2nd Amendment supporter, or just like government conspiracy thrillers this book is for you. It's along the lines of Unintended Consequences, but without so much technical material. The book is suitable for teenagers on up. The language is mild, a PG rating. The few sex scenes are implied, not graphic.

If you plan on reading this book, I suggest you set the time aside. Putting the book down will be difficult, and the plot will play through your mind until you can get back to it. Matt, this was a great book. Please let me know when the sequel comes out. I need to know what happens next.

I am turned off by graphic sex so this book was a relief!

I haven't enjoyed a book so thoroughly in years.
Many of the characters seem quite familiar.

I could see myself as an old, grumpy Brad Fallon, except for the young hottie falling for me and ruining my plans
to escape.

Once I get the boat ready, I'm gone.

This is one of those books that I have to put down once in a while because I hate the idea of finishing it. It's that good. If you loved "Unintended Consequences" then you will equally love this book. Free Republic plays a role in this book. Get it here:

Thanks Chapita!

(And I swear I did not put him up to this.)

I do plan to make an E-book version soon, but I'd like to mention that it's not generally available yet. Chapita has bad eyes and can't read paper books, so I sent him my actual full-length Word file. I guess I gotta get busy on that E-book now!

Also, this is a good time to mention that I'm almost out of the first printing of EFAD. I have just enough to keep Amazon stocked (I hope), and send out some individually signed copies. The 2nd edition (without any typos!) should be available in early November. This print run will be 2,000 copies.

Click on the cover to go to the EFAD website. Anybody can read the first 20 chapters there for free to get the full flavor of the novel.
