TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

They are not going to do anything. I don't think Bush put Terri's Bill "in the call"

Why did attorney Pat Anderson go before Lazzara who is clintoid on Oct. 10? Why did she not try a Republican judge at the federal level to begin with? Was Lazzara the only one with standing.
This is unconscionable, did I spell it correctly, the way FL is treating a USA citizen?

As long as we are praying, I'm going ALL THE WAY and praying for complete 100% healing for Terri! What an awesome way for God to get the victory in all this!

Reeve is obviously fully conscious and aware. Pretty weak analogy. He can see the food, be aware of it and what it is for, and ask for it and eat it.
I'm not trying to twist the knife into anyone; but I am sceptical of many of the hysterical assertions made.
I prefer the honest folk who assert she has a life worth living even if she will never have higher-level consciousness ( more than that afforded by the brain stem)or ever improve, rather than the ones who scream there was no evidence she was in a vegetative state (there was), or that the bonescan is irrefutable evidence of a physical assault by the husband.
The courts have dismissed every alleged error or assertion of bias or mishandling of the evidence by the trial court.
I don't begrudge people thinking the court is still wrong, but the law and due process *has* been applied.
I've already directed my husband to draft me a living will so that no one ever second guesses him for removing a feeding tube, or forces me to live after being so damaged.

"So...criminals have a better chance of avoiding death once a judge imposes the sentence. Sickening. BUMP."
Yes, it appears so based upon the way the law is written. I pray that this situation will open some eyes in legislatures across the nation.

>>Martin Niemoeller, a witness to the Nazi holocaust, a clergyman, and a prisoner in the concentration camps during World War II, spoke these words: The great majority of Europeans during the period of the holocaust were neither killers nor victims...most merely stood by, neither collaborating nor coming to the aid of victims. This passivity amounted to acquiescence, and the planners and executors of the final solution counted on the bystanders not intervening. <<

(A good site to visit is http://www.terrisfight.org . Oct. 15th 2pm death order must be stopped)

"I'm going all the way and praying for a complete 100% healing for Terri"You know, I'm not even sure that would be enough. Schiavo would demand the judge's order be upheld and the judge, I bet, would agree.
I'm beginng to believe we've walked through the very gates of Hell itself.
It's finally arrived.

The Fl senate just recessed

So exactly what laws of the state of Florida would allow Gov. Bush to override a court order? Is there any case law to support it? He seems to believe he cannot do it. I am no expert in the law, but if you have legal background, have you attempted to advise him?

I was ONLY pointing out that placing food before someone is NOT a good test for whether they should live or die.
Do you think it is?

Call JEB BUSH NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(850) 488-4441 FLOOD HIS OFFICE WITH CALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To: PeyersPatches
"Well, since Jeb is a practicing Christian, how about one of God's laws "Thou shalt not kill"?"
Since we live in a secular society, I doubt making that statement before the court is going to do much good.
"Hey if Clinton could stomp on a multitude of laws to doing something awful (grab a little boy named Elian by gunpoint) then Jeb can save an innocent woman who is being tortured to death."
So what organization do you think he can order to go in and take Terri by force? Where should she be taken once she has been grabbed? (Remember, Elian was taken out of the country.)
