TALLAHASSEE, FL -- According to a news release sent by the Terry Schindler-Schiavo Foundation, Florida Speaker Johnnie Byrd will introduce "Terri's Bill" during the special session Monday.
The bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths in Florida. Meanwhile, supporters of Terri Schiavo showed up Sunday outside a Pinellas Park hospice.
Doctors say Schiavo has been in a vegetative state since complications from a heart attack in 1990. Her husband was granted a court order that her feeding tube be removed, saying his wife wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive.

I only tried a few times so far. I am glad to hear this.
I think Dr Dobson probably really really helped out by whatever it was he did on radio/tv the other day.
It is incredible in a way to see so many people from all walks of life going after this cause and supporting Terri.
Look at the liberals like Wesley and Not Dead Yet, all of us conservatives and the prolifers like Dobson, and then even some wierdo radio stations up here that do alien shows all the time are harping on saving Terri too.
Everyone knows in their gut that this is just *wrong*. Except for the ones serving the father of lies.

As long as I live I will never forget sitting there last night and watching those people who were so courageous.
They accepted scorn to speak in public about God and miracles. Now that is a hard thing to do for us, but for them, in a government session, on live video, I think it was incredible.
Thank you Lord for the House representatives who gave Glory to Your name last night.

Thank you Lord for the House representatives who gave Glory to Your name last night. Amen.
The liberals I know seem to be as shocked and outraged about this dehydration/starvation as I am. There's hope!

I hope to watch it again later and rejoice about it.

There's hope!People mostly want to act morally, but their minds aren't right - too much poor education.
Terri's story has the simplicity of a parable, and reaches even clouded souls.

From what I can gather on the senate and house websites, it looks like the bill was looked at this morning and ammended, then sent back to the house for approval.. are you watching the House right now? Any idea if they are in session even? If I understand right, they'll have to do a revote on the new wording, then send it back to the senate? They need to *hurry*.

Your parable point is a good one. I once said that the world needs disabled people, just ask Stephen King.

It looks to me like it was amended and approved and now they discuss and vote this evening.

People mostly want to act morally, but their minds aren't right - too much poor education And poor fact reporting by the media.
Most people would not agree with pumping air into a comotose body, as the media seems to like to portray what's going on.
Once they find out the "life support" is food and water for a human who can smile and respond, their whole view changes regardless of their political views I think.
Yes, this whole story is like a parable. Much can be taught from it. My son is learning first hand what makes America what it is and how important righteous rage is.

You really need to watch it. But now that top link is the rules and committee meeting this morning, so try the house link.
Senate is in meeting now, btw, and discussing economics.

Well it doesn't appear to be there anymore at all.
On the Florida house page the archives should be there soon. I will check.
