Your parable point is a good one. I once said that the world needs disabled people, just ask Stephen King.

And poor fact reporting by the media.

Most people would not agree with pumping air into a comotose body, as the media seems to like to portray what's going on.

Once they find out the "life support" is food and water for a human who can smile and respond, their whole view changes regardless of their political views I think.

Yes, this whole story is like a parable. Much can be taught from it. My son is learning first hand what makes America what it is and how important righteous rage is.
