Those who stand Vigil have asked that a Prayer Thread for Terri Schiavo be started for any wishing to comfort and encourage Terri's family and friends and those who have labored on her behalf. Another Vigil will be held at 1:00 p.m. today at the Woodside Hospice, and another will be held at 3:00 p.m. today in front of the White House, through the efforts of an organization for the disabled.

One of our traveling FReepers is now at the Vigil and has met with Terri's family and speaks of their enormous grief. Terri's mom has been given some lotion, which she will use to tend Terri's feet. Prayers posted will be printed and given to Bob and Mary Schindler and their son and daughter ~ may they find some measure of comfort in our words.

My father went to be with Jesus in 1994.

One of his most favorite hymns.

There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus, No not one! No not one! None else can heal all our souls diseases; No not one! No not one!

Jesus , thank you that You have promised to be that " friend" to Terri right now. Amen.

I wanted to share this because I believe the Scriptures of our Father, Jehovah God is the only thing that can give us hope at this time! He wants us to be comforted.

My heart is breaking for those that know not the power of His love, and forgivness. I want all whose eyes fall upon these Scriptures to know,

GOD IS WITH TERRI. For HE IS THE, I AM.

I want to scream this from the mountaintop!!!

I would have liked to have typed this all in BOLD CAPS! For this is a dark day, that only the Light of the risen Savior can reveal the sorrow and hurt put on this family, and bring them peace.

HE IS ABLE! He sends us His Love through His WORD. Just get a hold of this Truth!

May the God of mercy comfort all who can't be comforted. In Him and Him only is peace!

Dear sweet one, please ping our prayer partners, our online family for Logan and Ryan and little Jaquelyn and Sara Grace, and on and on! Make sure all read the begining of the thread...these prayers are going to be delivered to Terri's family. Thanks.

We know the power of prayer beyond any doubt.

We need to prayer together now for this precious live that has suffered beyond belief and lived without chance for renewal due to horrendous actions of the part of her guardian.

Please ping those who so love our Father, Terri needs them and so does her family.

Special Session Called in State Legislature Speaker of the House, Johnnie Byrd to introduce “Terri’s Bill”

Clearwater, FL October 19, 2003: The Governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, has called a special session of the Florida Legislature for Monday, October 20, 2003. At that time, Florida’s Speaker of the House will introduce “Terri’s Bill”. By Florida law, two-thirds majority vote are required to have a topic entered.

Volunteers with the Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation have learned that Senate President, Jim King is against this bill.

The Bill would put an immediate moratorium on all dehydration and starvation deaths currently pending in Florida.

We have come to a time when the merchants of death have created a constitutional crisis and a justice gridlock, while the rightful life of Florida’s disabled and vulnerable citizens tragically hang on Terri Schindler-Schiavo’s court ordered dehydration and starvation death.

We urge all concerned Floridians to contact their Senators and State House members to vote for Terri’s bill.
