Kerry, Lieberman urge ouster of Army officer

Two Democratic presidential candidates speaking before an Arab-American audience yesterday called on the Bush administration to dismiss a high-ranking Army official for claiming that Muslims did not worship a "real God."

Senators John F. Kerry of Massachusetts and Joseph I. Lieberman of Connecticut condemned the words of Lieutenant General William Boykin, the officer leading the hunt for Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Boykin told evangelical Christian audiences that God was on the side of America's war on terrorism and said that Muslims worship an "idol." The comments were made public in a report aired on NBC News this week.

In their role as jackbooted agents of the state, Kerry and Lieberman have overlooked the "no religious test" part of the Constitution as well.

Both of these guys may be in trouble should a "religious test" regarding "correct religious belief" ever be established.

Yes, but Christians are not supposed to speak their beliefs or opinions in anyway that might possibly be repeated particularly if said speech has a greater than 1 chance in a trillion of slightly offending anyone living or dead. Other than that, they are protected by the first ammendment.

While they're at it, there's a NY House Dem who repeatedly used the term "redneck" on MSNBC's Hearltand a few weeks ago.

"Redneck" is an ethnic slur orignially meant to denegrate immigrant farm laborers. Its no different than saying "spic" or "nigger".

The man is a bigoted racist and should be censured & removed. But some animals are more equal than others.

I think that my friend has pretty well summed up the situation with his words and I endorse what he said.

Remember the generals that were abruptly retired if they criticized klinton? The left loved it. You can't have an officer criticizing the president.

If Boykins criticized Bush, they'd hail his "courage", and demand he be promoted. People in the military have the right to express their opinions in public and private, but only as long as it advances the RAT agenda.

Look at the way the RATs treat Catholics. Catholic-bashing is acceptable, but islam-bashing (right or wrong) must be punished. They are very selective about which religions they want to defend from "harsh words".

Interesting opportunity here. These pandering scum will speak against anyone and anything if they think it will generate support. We need to be aware of every incident where a neocommunist says or suggests an anti-American position and write each one of these weasels a message that starts, "As a life-long Democrat and one who has supported you in the recent passed, I am shocked and disgusted by the recent comments of ...."

A cluster of these message protestig the words, not of a non-candidate dem weasel (Sheila Jackson-Jerk, for example), but a neocommunist city official, the mayor of Philadelphia, perhaps, might get a nonsensical response from one of the candidates.

The lefties clap both palms to the sides of their heads and shriek, "You can't say that! I am offended!" and whine that the speaker should not be allowed to participate any longer. We see it here on occassion. We should try to enlist some of these pandering dems and put some differences between a couple.

The muslims will ride this indefinitely because it's the only issue they have and CAIR's entire mission is to be a squeaky wheel.

As for Kerry - Lieberman ... do any Americans seriously think these guys should be in charge of our defense.

The Pentagon needs to reply to the muslims along the lines of "in this country, we don't persecute our citizens for their thoughts". (We do of course, but that certainly wasn't the intent of the founding fathers). And if that doesn't work, "bite me" can be effective.
