A DAY IN THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT BUSH (photos): 10/17/03

President Bush and First Lady, Laura left California yesterday, and arrived at Tokyo’s Haneda airport (at around 3:00 am, Pacific time), where they were greeted by U.S. Ambassador Howard Baker. The President met with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi for talks on subjects such as international trade and the reconstruction of Iraq. The President and First Lady were dinner guests at the Akasaka State Guest House, where they dined on Japanese steak and Yakatori chicken, sitting on the floor, but were allowed to dangle their legs through a hole in the floor!

Japan is only the first stop in a whirlwind 9 day tour of 6 Asian countries and Australia, and including the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday. There are LOTS of pictures, many of which could have been selected as the “best,” (and which I have tried to assemble in some sort of orderly fashion), so enjoy your Daily Dose of Dubya!!

Those are traditional Philippino dress shirts.......I know that because of a missionary we had at Camp 45 years ago!

Yup, Fawnn, she wore a V neckline just the way you advised. And the lace comes down past the waistline to give a longer look. I'd love to see another picture of that dress, wouldn't you?

Whoa!! Our boy in a Philippine shirt! Haven't seen that before.

I like the shade of red on the Philippine president. She must be small, even for a Filipina. I've met many of them through the years and most were just a bit shorter than my 5'5" frame. She's incredibly tiny.

I'm sure there is, and that he's wearing it out of respect, but W needs to avoid this style like the plague. It most definitely doesn't suit him. All this time I thought he'd look good in anything, but I was wrong, lol!
