What's with the "Cowboy Up"? How did that get started? I mean why not "Lobster Up" or "Bean 'Em"? If I hear the expression "Cowboy Up" one more time, especially after the last three days, I'm gonna hurl. And I don't mean a baseball :)

And then have Zimmer claim he was pointing at his head and saying to Posada "I'll remember what you said!" Preposterous!

Apparently a couple Spanish-speaking reporters at that game confirmed that Pedro was telling the truth about what he said.

The idea that it was a threat to hit more people in the head started with the Fox announcers, and went through the media unchallenged.,br>

I want lots of Red Sox pain.

Followed by lots of Yankee humbling. How wonderful it was a few years ago when Arizona recorded the last out to sink the NYY ship and we all started singing "Start spreading the news..."

I just realized during dinner tonight that tonight's game could well be the highlight of my sports watching career. Bear in mind that I followed the Bruins' march to the Stanley Cup in 1972 (as a 10-year-old), the Red Sox in 1975 and 1986, the New England Patriots in 2001 and of course, all those great Celtic seasons during the Larry Bird era of the 1980s. None of those would compare to a Game 7 victory against the "hated" New York Yankees in a ALCS for the American League pennant. Hell, if they win tonight, the World Series will be an anticlimax, especially now that the Cubs are out of it.

Yes, this moment could be the very apex of Boston sports in modern history. On the other hand, it could be just another disaster like the 1986 World Series or that 1978 playoff game. The suspense will only last a few more hours - maybe not even that long.

They've gotta make a comedy movie ripoff of the Bartman scenario. Something like Martin Lawrence playing the hapless fan who has his life turned upside down. Could be hilarious if done right.

I fear you will get your wish - however, I'm shocked at how many Bosox fans here believe a victory tonight will lift The Curse of the Bambino...

Hey there was a time when all Yankees hated Roger -- who can forget his hot temper. Remmber the FU to the umpire? And there were plenty of times he plunked someone with his big bad balls. And now he's a Yankee and all is forgiven...

So if Pedro doesn't pitch well tonight he's done for in Boston and perhaps the Yankees will pick him up and all will be forgiven.

*thinks if your siblings are anything like hers we're in for a hell of a night*

LOL!!! I talked to my Mom today and we discussed the fact that at any given time one or more of my sisters aren't talking to some of the other sisters.

However, we are too old for those good ol' hair pulling screamin' fights we used to have (although I think I could still take sister #2).
