Edwards, Lieberman and kerry skipped out on this vote. LOL Surprised? They've also harped on the President on Medicare, on not funding first responders, etc, and yet they've all missed votes where the President has tried to solve some of those issues. That way they can keep on harping. Its the unsurprising spinless way to go.

Sorry to seem dense, but what exactly does this bill accomplish? Is it a "feel-good" thing so that everybody can feel patriotic, or is there some action to be taken? I'm not clear on this.

I saw that also:

The demo's "courageously" running for president (deliberately) skipped the vote - so they CAN'T be held accoutable! .........

And a D**M repub-in-name-only voted "no"..........

Not Voting - 3 Edwards (D-NC) Kerry (D-MA) Lieberman (D-CT)

The symbolism of this is perfect. Maybe that's why The Senate takes symbolic votes. The Dems running for The White House have been completely AWOL on national security.

It's feel good, but it keeps liberals from saying the war on terror has made things worse as the LW wackos like to scream.

Lincoln Chafee is a rat fink.

I have trouble deciding if my state seantor is a "B*tch-Ass Punk", or a "Punk-Ass B*tch".

But, either way, he's an embarrassing disgrace.

I would think the latter is the more appropriate moniker. :-)

You should see the letter I sent him yesterday.

He's a RINO of the highest order.

Before the Iraq war started, our esteemed "Republican" was on the front steps of Brown University (notoriously liberal institution), protesting with the "peace" activists.

He's an embarrassment to his family. His father (a true Republican) is spinning in his grave.

My nephew is shipping off on the USS Chaffee (DDG 90) this weekend out of RI.

They should use this guy as the anchor since that what he can be liken to to GOP efforts.

What a complete disgrace.
