Yes, I usually don't watch Matthews, just wanted to see this segment, which outraged me.
Matthews was noticeably aggressively hostile to the minister, and bent over backwards to the other guest who was in favor of terminating Terri.

>>>With three police officers in her room, I do not hold much hope that anyone will be able to put a spoon to her mouth.
Situation sounds way too odd to me. I'm forwarding this on to get some other opinions. If the FREEPERS aren't available to try, I am trying another group. I wish I lived close enough to go myself.

I agree with you. As someone, maybe you, already said, there's a hidden agenda here.
And that's the only thing that's making any sense to me in this whole tragedy.

My mom died of cancer a few years ago. She weighed about 168 when she was told she had it. She did hospice as the cancer was to wide spread. She weighed about 90 lbs when she died. In the end she could barely swallow. We feed her Slimfast as she hated that aweful tasting Ensure they wanted her to use.
She left written instructions on DO NOT RESUSITATE if she stopped breathing. None of us thought about starving her to death. We tried every thing we could to entice her to eat. Ending up with the Slimfast as a last resort as she would take it.
What about getting the Animal Rights people involed? After all humans are mamal animals.

I thought Sean was going to cry.
Apparently Elise-whatever-her-name-is respects the courts more than human life. She won't recognize that just MAYBE the judge/husband etc... have other motives.

That's what makes me so...(biting tongue)...mad about this whole affair -- the media is leading people to believe that she's comatose. She's not.
I literally have been screaming at the radio in my car today while making hospital visits -- I'm sick of hearing the words "comatose," "near comatose" and "vegetative" when dealing with Terri (a human being). How any judge could watch a video of her and determine that she should be starved to death is beyond me.
The doctors in this case have moved from the preservation of life to the way of death. We'd need to take a stand now, or it's just going to get worse.

Pray that the policemen will have mercy and do the job of sneaking food to her themselves.

"I can see a time when almost all of our nation's health care budgets could be consumed by such costs if life is to be prolonged as long as there is a remote flicker detectable. At what point do we say we can't afford it?" Enter socialized medicine. The liberals think that will give equal medical "care" to all (leading many to believe that it would provide the best available care to anyone in need), but what it really means is that it will no longer be doctors and families making medical decisions on behalf of individuals, but that those critical choices will be made by bureaucRATs and will be based on what they deem to be most expedient and cost effective. They believe they have that right. You seem to agree with them, at least to an extent. I do not.

I posted this on the long thread, but am repeating it here, because I haven't heard anyone mention this before now.
Earlier watching OReilly, the atty for the Schindlers was on with Terri's brother.
The atty said that every option seems to be exhausted.
But she said something I had not heard elsewhere, that there is a Florida statute that states that food cannot be withheld from a disabled adult.
I hope someone is moving on this.
To: GailA
And you know you did all you could do. Clearly, we who LOVE our family member do whatever we can when the end comes. And our motives are to facilitate the most comfortable means available for the patient. Sadly, Michael's heart is stone.
(Animal rights activists are nothing but avowed left-wingers who would be delighted to see the entire human race wiped out so the animals could rule the planet.)

How can anyone that believes in Our Creator have the ability to deny someone's right to live? May G-d have mercy on us all. Amen. I'm sickened over this, and yet have faith in our God. I'm praying for a BIG TIME MIRACLE here.

Right on.
What's needed is 50 MEN willing to be arrested for taking Terri out of there safely.
Other groups have been hailed as heroes and eventually handed victory for taking similar action for civil rights, which are at stake here.

"Obviously this judge greer, is one of those guys who doesn't want the 10 commandments posted outside his courtroom" Any bets on how he marked his ballot in 2000? Or maybe he was one of those who was disenfrancised because he was too d@#m stupid to read the ballot correctly.
