Now they're allowed to order people to be killed. What's to stop them from constructing concentration camps and starting up the gas chambers? My point exactly. Now they can legally order someone to be killed, because the person is, according to Peter Singer and his merry band of inside out "ethicists", NOT a person. Same with unborn babies. NOT persons.
And for people who think you and I are just extremist wackos, what was happening in Germany during the late 20's and the 30's? How many Germans - and Jews - thought, "Oh, it can't get any worse. It can't get THAT bad. Life will go on as it always has." If more good Germans and the Jewish people in Germany had been awake, maybe Hitler would not have been able to do what he did. At the very least, more people could have escaped, or woken up the world to his evil.
To remain asleep to evil is to assist it.

The Dr. was a wacko!! I thought that the one filling in for O'Reilly( sorry I am lost for his name right now) was favorable though and looked like he was ready to cry at the end.
To: pollywog
Former Congressman John Kasich was who filled in for O'reilly.
I only got in towards the end. I feel so horrible for Terri and her family.
This is so wrong.

Either she's dumber than a rock or just as cold and calculating as he is. If she's calculating, he better watch his back because after Terri's money is disbursed, his life might not be worth 2 cents.

it'd be nice for those of us who believe in the power of prayer Yes, that would be nice;
What I cannot believe is that no one has taken this woman away from her death cell to a place where she can be fed.

The doctor that was just speaking on O'Reilly's show (with John Kasich tonight) MAY well have been a doctor I read about the other night. Unfortunately I didn't bookmark the thread.... But it was about several so-called "ethics" doctors who have written papers on why people's organs should be harvested from patients BEFORE they're dead so they are fresher.
One doctor was an ethics physician (??) on staff at Boston Children's Hosp.

"I remember Michael Savage talking about "baby body parts" - I think there is a LOT we don't know about what the "medical establishment" is doing." Dear God; I had not even considered THAT possibilty. Lib, we humans are just not programmed to contemplate such atrocities. Satan has surely been unleashed from the pit.
Does anybody still really believe that "we the people" have any control over much of anything any more?

Terri's husband has a very strict visitation list. In fact, Terri's family may not visit her unless he or his designee is present. He has strictly ordered that no one may attempt to feed her.

If anything, you're the materialistic sounding person, saying life isn't worth living if it isn't "normal" as we largely middle class Americans see it. Is life something to try to escape, in your opinion? People see different purposes to life. If someone sees the only purpose of life being enjoying the senses like being able to eat and have sex, being productive in the sense of a job, or having health and exercising, enjoying popularity or prestige, driving a nice car, shopping, or even more subtle things like being able to enjoy seeing sunsets, walks on the beach, enjoying friends and relatives - then it makes sense to die if if one is handicapped and can't do some or all of the above.
BUT - if a person sees that the purpose of life is to develop spiritually - get closer to understanding and loving God and all of His children, this can be done even while lying immobile on a bed. People have undergone tremendous transformations while bedridden, and even near death. I have seen it with my own eyes, with my dying mother, and several friends. Life is more than eating, sleeping, screwing and buying stuff.
To: stanz
That would be an ironic kind of justice wouldn't it? Especially if he is responsible for Terri's condition in the first place.

We had a ped doc on this afternoon on our local talk radio here in Memphis...he said they did this when he was a intern at one of the local hospitals to a baby.. the baby cried and cried he was so long hungry...they finally put him back on the feeding tubes as the medical staff couldn't stand it any more.

I can't believe that piece of crap is going to show his face on TV.
Watching Hannity & Colmes last night, I don't think even Colmes was buying Schiavo's attorney's crap. I hope they both rip MS a new one tonight.
I am not going to give up faith that a miracle could happen.
