aside from the inhumanity of intentionally killing someone by dehydration, does anyone else find it ironic that they are going to murder this girl in the name of human rights? (i.e. 'right to die')

There's definitely something wrong with this story. This husband is just itching to have his wife dead. If he had any love for her, you would think he would be encouraged by reports that she is able to do things upon request and would seek more help/therapy for her. I understand why the judge doesn't want her to progress now that he is on record so many times stating she can be done in, but what's the deal with the husband? Why doesn't he wash his hands of her and give the control over to her parents and let them deal with it? He wants her dead and there has got to be a reason for that other than the fact he had a casual conversation with her about artificial prolonging of life. This dude has got something to hide and/or gain.

On the subject of prolonging life by artificial means, I feel like George Carlin when he hears someone say, "Yeah, if I'm ever in that state, just pull the plug" Carlin said, "F-that, if there's a hole in me, stick a plug in it!"

conservative111 also posted this article: "Family reveals secret therapy sessions held for brain-disabled woman scheduled to die" and now I can't find it.

Mind Bender26 gave some excellent advice to FReepers on posts #8 & 32 AND EVERYBODY SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT HE SAID.

Taken out of context from his posts, MB26 tells it like it is: "Our tactics are not effective; a classic case of how and why Conservatives lose on issue; we are morally right and therefore refuse to acknowledge the other side's legal standing in the matter; we try a scattershot approach, accusing everyone and everything.

"It doesn't matter how right, or how strong you are, ... if one uses ineffective tactics.

"There is a winning strategy here. It needs to be seen by the courts as an Equity matter, and not a Law matter.

"Federal courts are much more likely to intervene in Equity matters than State courts are. There needs to be an appeal, well drafted by a VERY GOOD CON LAW LAWYER, to the COA in Atlanta. If that fails, then to the USSC sitting AJ for this circuit. Would probably be AJ Thomas. We have a chance there.

"There needs also to be a Habeas Corpus petition drawn, with citations to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the American's With Disabilities Act, claiming that she is being denied due process. The problem with all of this is the law giving her husband standing, the right to speak for her, before the courts as her NOK. Don't get the idea I like this situation, but we can curse the facts, or find a way to change them."

typos are mine - I don't know what COA or NOK mean - ALL I DO know is that we aren't working this to Terri's advantage by hounding Jeb. MB26 says the Schindlers need a VERY GOOD CON LAW LAWYER, and I heartily agree.
