Try again. Immediately after posting my comment, I clicked on the link (I was so surprised that it came up as a link, that I wanted to check it out), and sent the e-mail I had been intending to send. It worked for me.

I'll be checking my snail-mail for a tax bill from the dems -- lol.

I sent mine to www.dittoes@rushlimbaugh.com - I thought dittoes had that E. Or was it potatoe? I wonder if mine got through.

Ummm...I don't think dittos has an "e" in it, but I could be wrong. As I indicated in post 41, the one I sent apparently went through because I just checked my e-mail and there was no "returned mail" error message.

O-K -- just looked up ditto, and both ways appear to be acceptable spellings (without the "e" was listed second).

Hey, Lurker, what's up? There's no doubt, you don't need a so called "shred" of evidence....he recieved them "illegally". The crime here is that this crap is ever "legal". Hydrocodone changes you from what you are, Lurker. For too many people, that the doctors or the pharmeceutical companies just don't give a tinker' damn about, they become "something else". Do you know what the doctor's told me when I refused to take any more of their narcotics??They told me I just wasn't trying hard enough.

I don't always agree with Rush. Mostly he's a republican party hack. He deserves a break on this one.

The criminality aspect will be handled by the criminal justice system. The "offense against decency" morality aspect will be and is being handled by Rush's well-wishers and enemies. But on a Reprehensibility Index that goes from 1 to 10, should Rush be at most a 4, and toadlickers and freebasers a 9.5?

...I am taking it for a pinched nerve in my neck. It is prescribed to take two at a time up to four times a day and I take them at most two pills a day. Only when the pain reaches a point just short of being intolerable. You are right, it changes me from what I am - hurting - to being relatively pain free for a few hours.
...When my colon ruptured I was in the hospital for eight days and had a morphine "drip" it is on a timer where you can give yourself a dose after a certain period of time. I got to where I REALLY looked forward to my next "hit"
...Pain killing chemicals have a useful purpose but I agree there is a fine line between using them and abusing them.

I should have stated, "they don't work properly for everyone". I'm glad they're helping you, Graybeard58. I just had too many contraindications for any of that stuff. The doctors just don't know or care what they perscribe for who. And they know little of addiction. I used to be one of those people who believed if a doctor said it, it must be gospel. Especially if it numbs you for a bit.

Rush limbaugh Is being judged by the liberals. It seems very strange when the Hollywood liberals like John Belushi or Nick Nolte got caught up on booze or drugs then its called a illness, but when a conservative is caught up on drugs not due to a party or free basing then it’s a lynch mob mentality. Well, Rush was an incredible genius who exposed the left deftly with humor, particularly ridicule. Nobody likes to be laughed at, and in many ways, Rush got an entire nation laughing at some of these folks. He wasn't wrong when he said his show was show prep for other media people: the gist of his jokes often ended up reworked by Lettermen and Leno, not to mention a myriad of lesser market radio wannabees. So, those folks who were at the receiving end of Rush's pitard are now salivating at the chance to issue a rejoinder, especially now that Rush is in no position to reply.

I think an awful lot of Rush's behavior may be tied to the responsiblity of being Maja Rushie. Think about the daily pressure of being right, funny, ahead of the curve 99.9% of the time. This speculation will incense some people, but the fact is Rush spent a great deal of his time analyzing a variety of situations, and, folks, this is one helluva situation! It is not enough to say he was seduced into this because of back pain; there simply must also be a psychological component and viewing the pressures of the show as part of that is fair game. In that light, I don't particularly want Rush back in thirty days. For the longest time I have complained to my husband, among others, that Rush has "changed." I heard the slurring long ago and in tandem with that was a change in the joy I sensed, and some of the subject matter Rush tackled. He became less pro-life: subjects like abortion and euthanasia, the Terri Schiavo case for instance raging in Florida today, were no longer touched by him. That was a substantial change. Even education and the incredible homosexual lobby were no longer mentioned on his show. In some ways Rush became more libertarian, although he always publicly eschewed that moniker.

I sincerely hope Rush takes all the time necessary to get better. I think it is naive to expect that five years of an addiction will dissolve in thirty days, and I think it is reasonable to discuss if the responsibilities of the very show he is being urged back to didn't at some point overwhelm him.

What I want for Rush is that the person he was gets a chance to heal, to become whole and restored. Whatever spiritual journey he needs to take, I pray he takes and for as long a time as is necessary. For sure, he's got a lot of people back over here waiting patiently, and lovingly for him. V's wife.
