Useful Idiot Caption-A-Rama for 13 October 2003
Yahoo News and many useful idiots | 13 Oct 03 | Me

Angry Indigenous Bolivians
Bolivian radicals continue to freak out and fight a “gas war” against the building of a natural gas pipeline. I’d like to note for the record that “Angry Indigenous Bolivians” would be a really cool name for a band.

To show their disdain for the heartless corporate pipline thugs and their government lackeys, the noble protestors bombarded this ambulance with rocks.

Man, Chicken George makes it to way more protests than I do.

I actually spluttered with laughter when I saw this pic. This poor twit thinks he’s Che Guevara.

Speaking of Che, the biggest protests in Bolivia coincided with (and may have been partly inspired by) the 36th anniversary of his capture and execution by Bolivian troops. Why did I include this photo? Well, pictures of dead commie leaders give me a chuckle or two. There’ll be some more Che-related pics in next week’s Caption-A-Rama.

Anti-War Pro-terrorist protestors on the march

No, this was not taken at an American university, this one was in Cairo.

I’m so glad she’s wearing those gloves, otherwise I might be overwhelmed by my animal passions. Rowr!

Yes, I know that looks like Mr. Spock and Don Adams had a baby who joined the Army, but it’s supposed to be Dubya.

What is with the 80s glam-band hair on these South Koreans? I can just hear them singing “Whoa, we’re halfway there! Whoa-oh! Livin’ on a prayer!”

Turks protest against sending troops into Iraq. “Just because you kept the Soviet Union off us for 45 years doesn’t mean we owe you anything, stupid American infidels!”

Oh yeah, one (probably doctored) photo of an American doing something totally non-violent to a child makes me forget all about those kids Saddam tortured and imprisoned. Thanks for the enlightenment.

“All we are saying...is give peace a chance!”

Oh, I am so looking forward to Halloween this year! Halloween + Useful Idiots = Caption-A-Rama fun!!

Fillipino students pelt a Dubya cutout with rotten fruit. “Was it something I said? Or perhaps Some child-torturing terrorist scumbag I bombed?”

“Just as it says in the holy Koran, green wire and red wire must never shake hands!”

Oh man. Cue Comic Book Guy:

“Worst effigy ever!

Oh, the noble followers of the Religion of Peace hate Americans and Christians. Wow, I’m so shocked.

This display was set up by Amnesty and Oxfam in Trafalgar Square. I wonder if they ever did the math and realized that Saddam's 2 million victimns would take 3 years and 294 days to work through at a rate of one per minute. I wonder if they ever considered that Osama's 9/11 victims would take just under 49 hours.

“You gotta fight...for your right...to PAAAARRRR-TAY!!”

The sign this Turkish woman is holding reads:“The anger of mothers will suffocate the U.S.” This brings to my mind a disturbing mental image involving Martin Lawrence in a fat suit crushing all 270 million of us between his enormous breasts. Probably not the reaction she was looking for. By the way, she and her fellow protestors are chanting “We won’t be U.S. soldiers.” Wow, what a shame that our Army recruiter in Ankara isn’t going to make his quota this month.

“Israel inspires hate.” Yes, just like the Jews “inspired hate” in Germany circa 1936. How do people this stupid keep breathing?

California Recall
The California Recall portion will be a small dose this week, because I’m bloody well sick of the whole thing. There, I said it, and I’m glad I said it!

Best idea I’ve heard the whole campaign.

Cruz may have to go work with his sister, Nao, the nude performance artist. Of course, I have trouble figuring out why anyone would willingly go see this woman perform, so maybe her and Cruz onstage nude wouldn't be a big draw.

I’m not going to post a picture or even a description of this other act Nao Bustamante does, but I will provide a link, and trust me, this makes Newt Gingrich’s family troubles look like an asset. Also, if you are under 18 (4mycountry, I’m looking in your direction!) please ignore the link and move on to the next Caption-A-Rama pic. And now, enter the frightening world of The Indigurrito...if you dare!

Nope, not over the top at all.

What in the world is Diane Keaton wearing on her head? Looks like a cross between a football and a vinyl ottoman.

Iraqi Shiites carefully examine the gift horse’s mouth

Are these Shiites protesting or having one of those “starving artist” sales?

These guys were holding a die-in, but they were moving around too much and the American troops thought they were doing the Gator.

Where is the national government? We killed them back in March. Go home.

Iraqis are already adopting American ways: These guys are trying to win a Darwin Award by laying down in front of a Bradley.

PETA has the eye of the tiger and milks tragedy again
PETA showed their usual sensitivity by jumping right on Vegas performer Roy Horn’s brush with death in the jaws of a white tiger.

I’ll bet this woman has not only not ever bought a ticket to see a performing tiger, I’ll bet she’s never had occasion to call any adult male human “Tiger,” if you know what I mean.

“Get well soon, you evil keeper of slave animals, unless of course they want to use drugs tested on mice to treat you, in which case I hope you die a hideous death, alone, in pain and unsung” wouldn’t fit on the sign.

The tourist at center is either thinking “Why would this pimp feel the need to tell me bestiality isn’t available?” or “These idiots couldn’t find one starving child to feed anywhere on this planet?”

Miscellaneous idiocy

“Loud and proud, baby! This is our house!” The mascot of the new NFL franchise, The Boise Instant Messengers, high-fives...You’re not buying it, are you? OK, here’s the real deal. Some idiot at AOL used Boise (in a newspaper ad) as an example of the last place in the world you’d roll out a new Internet service, so now they find themselves forced to apologize and suck up to Idaho politicians and make a big cash donation to Boise schools in order to avoid a bunch of cancellations from offended Idahoans...Idahoites...whatever those darn potato-diggers call themselves! Frickin’ Idaho, everybody knows Maine potatoes are better anyway, muttermuttermuttermutter.

Dang, something about that just ain’t natural.

Guatemalan envirowackos protest against possible mining by a Canadian country. Mimes Against Mines. Makes sense...sorta.

Yep, says “Ecologist Collective” right on the sign. Maybe they should add a watermelon logo.

Hong Kong activists protest against the province’s chief executive. What that has to do with an effigy of Webb Hubble in a hula skirt, I have no idea.

Fashion Week is dragging on so long it appears to actually be “Fashion Quarter.” Considering how much body fat the average runway model has, this woman may be feeling the most pronounced “drafty feeling” north of Antartica.

I thought we were supposed to be scared of the gene-mod corn, but it looks like it’s scared of us, if you ask me.

Conveniently for the police, these Mexican Greenpeace protestors are already wearing orange jumpsuits. OK, I promise I’ll stop using that joke.

BTW, these future victims of neck-strain-induced-oxycontin-addiction are messing with the Ministry of Agriculture in Mexico City. Yes, the Mexican government is so well known for its responsiveness to protest.

Dubya doesn’t get blamed for everything in the world, just 99% of it. The Palestinian Prime Minister decided to cut some social programs, and these welfare beneficiaries decided that it must be Tony Blair’s fault.

Useful Idiocy comes home. These twits are in front of Lenin’s tomb protesting against the continued presence of democracy in Russia.

Finally able to drag herself away from the super-important issue of female golf memberships at Augusta, Martha Burk came out to support continued bleeding of companies that make breast implants. Whatever you do, don’t bother feminists with facts, it might reduce their sources of revenue.

Dubya does his knock-em-dead Gray Davis impression: “You want fries with that?”

The young Left romanticize Che Guevara to the moon, but this photo conveys the real story. Guevara was a lousy commander who completely misjudged his objectives, whose troops were shot to pieces, and who was easily captured by the hapless Bolivian army. He died ignominiously, pleading for his life.

Too bad we can't see his other hand in this photo. Supposedly a CIA agent cut it off and took it back to Washington, DC for identification.

Every week, you guys come up with a bunch of captions I wish I’d thought of. That’s to be expected, because Freepers are among the funniest and smartest folks on the planet. This week, however, you just blew me away.

GREAT STUFF!!!

Now, if I were counseling her on the deep problems she has, it would likely come back to the source of her having had been molested by her brother when she was young (just my opinion).
