*VANITY*: Can Jeb Bush *PARDON* Rush Limbaugh?

I'm *CONCERNED* that when Rush gets out of treatment next month, the *PALM BEACH* district attorney (probably still *BITTER* over the 2000 election!) is going to try to make a *NAME* for himself by going after Rush on *TRUMPED UP* charges.
I was *HEARTENED* by initial reports that Palm Beach only goes after *DEALERS*, not *USERS*, but I'm *WORRIED* after reading the *NEWSWEAK* article that says they sometimes *DO* go after users, especially *CELEBRITIES*.
I think there is *LEGITIMATE* reason for *CONCERN* here, considering that Palm Beach is a *LIBERAL* county. It scarcely seems to *MATTER* that Rush never committed a *CRIME*. The Palm Beach D.A. is *LIKELY* to pursue his own agenda *REGARDLESS*.
This is why I suggest that Jeb Bush offer Rush a *BLANKET PARDON IMMEDIATELY*. He can do this *WITHOUT* indicating a *SPECIFIC* wrongdoing (like *FORD* did with *NIXON*), and it can prevent further *DISTRACTIONS* for Rush as the 2004 campaign *HEATS UP*.
And I think it *GOES WITHOUT SAYING* that this would *ENSURE* a larger margin of *VICTORY* in Florida for Jeb's big brother next year!
Any *THOUGHTS*?

Don't worry about it. Rush has a very good lawyer.

Rush may not have done anything wrong. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty despite the media claiming he is guilty of something.

If Rush did not commit a crime, as you suggest, what is it he'd be being pardoned for?

Any *THOUGHTS*? *YEAH* - first prize for *INNOVATIVE USE OF ASTERISKS*
To: Sir Valentino
Does Rush need a pardon? I'd much rather Jeb pardon Terri Schiavo.
To: Sir Valentino
The *worst* idea ever. If he *is* guilty, he should pay. To give someone immunity because you agree with their politics is un-American. It would engender so much ill will towards Bush and the republican party, it would make him equal to Clinton in every negative way.

Jeb's own daughter was found guilty. Jeb didn't pardon her, so why would he pardon Rush?
Get a grip...and drop the caps and asterisks. It's really annoying.
To: Sir Valentino
Yes, he can, but no, he would not.

If Rush broke the law, he'll use his million-dollar lawyer to get him off like all other celebrities.

From what I understand, they never caught him with anything so it will be hard to prove anything. Has anyone confirmed if the tape was the maid's tape or was it the governments doing.
