Downey didn't go on air and defend the War on Drugs week after week. That's a big difference.

Where is your evidence that Rush went after the war on drugs week after week?
Just curious.

If Rush were doing this "week after week", you would think that the liberal media would be able to find something other than that 8-year old quote they keep re-using.
To: Kiss Me Hardy
Oh, paalease...back up your posts with dates and quotes or get off it already.
To: Kiss Me Hardy
I have listened to Rush for 9 years, 15 hours a week. You my friend do not know what you are talking about!
To: Kiss Me Hardy
Neither did Rush. Give us a quote(s).
To: Kiss Me Hardy
You all keep saying that - because of my job I listen to him almost everyday and I just don't remember Rush going on about the WOD - the French looking vietnam veteran, golf, football, yes, but not the WOD.
And yes put me in the column that sees a difference between getting hooked because of painkillers and getting hooked for kicks and spare me the emotional and mental pain of those who got hooked for kicks or that oxycontin is synthetic morphine "just like heroin" yada, yada.

Downey didn't go on air and defend the War on Drugs week after week. That's a big difference As you can tell by my name, I am a big fan of Rush's. And you, sir, are so very wrong. In fact I can't recall Rush even talking about drugs or the War On Drugs in years.
But if you have proof, cough it up.
To: Kiss Me Hardy
Neither did Rush--not in many years, anyway. His latest statement on the subject was that he thought drugs should be legalized.

You have not listened to Rush, cause he did not "defend WOD week after week".
To: Kiss Me Hardy
Downey is exibit "A" on why we should NOT legalize drugs...but leave it you you third party sensitive types to climb upon someone's addicted and use it for you anti-WOD soap box...like Harry Browne did with the smoldering ash of the Twin Towers...you guys have no class...and NO political acumene...There is nothing hypocritical about opposing legalization if YOU YOURSELF are evidence of the damage done by drugs.
But there is something very slimy about chasing every ambulance and using the suffering subject as your backdrop to further your insane cult-like rants about the WOD.
To: Kiss Me Hardy
Some news org did a search on Rush vs Drug Talk and found the last time he said anything anti-drug was 3-4 years ago, I forget when. He prop knew he'd be a hipocrite if he mentioned anything anti-drug. So your comment about speaking against drugs day after day holds no water.

The War on Drugs has NEVER been a theme of Rush's, major or minor. I've heard his entire show probably one thousand times, and I can't remember the subject even coming up.
Anyway, WOD is far different from "The War on Painkillers".

Been Listening to The Great One for ten years and haven't missed much and I can say "you are wrong"
so try again or go over to the du and pile on.
To: Kiss Me Hardy
Neither did Rush, say something about drugs week after week. In fact, I never heard him say a word about drugs during the many years that I have listened to him. I know that he did, but I never heard him make such statements about drugs "week after week." Methinks you exaggerate.
To: Kiss Me Hardy
I have something else you can kiss. You're a malicious hypocrite, bet on that.

Neither did Rush rant defending the war on drugs. His rants were not about drug law enforcement.
