Homosexual agenda promoted in the new children’s movie “Good Boy”

Posted on 10/12/2003 6:17:53 PM PDT by mandingo republican

The homosexual agenda is being promoted in the new Jim Henson Productions children’s movie titled “Good Boy”. I took my niece and nephew to see this cute movie about dogs who talk. It’s a kids movie overall but I was shocked to find how the leftist Hollywood establishment tries in very subtle ways to get its cultural agenda across. I don’t know if the kids picked it up, but I suspect that it’s been done before and it will continue to happen in the future. It’s like a veiled form of conditioning – a brainwashing of sorts, designed to alter perceptions of the world and culture around us. It can be seen in television shows – especially in programming for children. Today on the Disney channel one of the shows was on dating – the kids where about 13 or 14. My 7 year old niece was watching it. Gone are the days of Father Knows Best or even the corniness of the Brady Bunch.

In the movie there was a 30 something man who owned a dog which the little boy (the lead character in the movie) walked daily. No big deal right? The only thing wrong with this was that in many later scenes the man was seen living in his home with another man. They were always together exactly like the other married couples in the movie. You would see them cleaning the pool, going to work, or decorating their home. I thought I was seeing things, until I asked my wife if she picked up the same thing. She said yes, and along with my sister she could not understand why this was needed in a children’s movie.

Is nothing scared anymore? Are we that far gone as a culture that even in a movie which we take our children we continuously have to be bombarded by images and messages that homosexuality is a normal and accepted lifestyle? I just thought the showing of this homosexual couple was a very subversive trick to get kids on board with a liberal mindset at a very early age. I want to take the kids to see an innocent movie about dogs who talk – not a movie about how OK homosexual marriage is.

Unfrickenbelievable - I hate Disney - and I wont buy a damn thing with their name on it - I tell my kids no and come up with some excuse - but Disney is banned in my house - not one thing with Disney. I do feel like it is an uphill battle that most other conservatives dont seem to care about. I dont care Disney and Eisner are only pro-profit and anti-family.

I have seen "Good Boy". Have you?

Nope, I went out and saw Kill Bill, quite a fun movie, for adults, I wouldn't let kids watch it, no sex, just action violence for 2 hours. As for "Good Boy" I have no desire to see it, not because of any percieved "threat" of a gay couple, but because the film looks like brainless dreck for kids.

As Groucho would say: "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar"

I checked on Focus on the Family's site, PluggedIn magazine, and they do mention the two men living together and how the kids would miss it and adults wouldn't.

Sorry for the late response...

I'm going from experience here: we had, and still have a certain anti-gay activist here in the DC 'burbs, who is both SCREAMINGLY gay and so far in denial that it isn't funny anymore.

First, I'm not anti-gay. I'm against the behavior as in love the sinner hate the sin. Second, I'm far from gay myself and as Argee pointed out, that's really a bad argument. Third, I don't know anybody on this forum who could fit your description.

As for asking what the "experts think" about homosexuality, I could give three-fifths of a squirt of lukewarm urine for it: I just don't care. And 99 44/100th percent of these so-called experts are either gay themselves, and thus biased, or pushing one agenda or another, and still biased.

Either way, they're selling something that I have no need or interest in, in the first place.

That made me laugh. The 99 44/100 is the ivory soap story. While everyone is biased to a point, as one guy has said, which bias is the best bias to be biased with? If you read the links I provided you'd have a really good idea what the truth is, as the links provide both sides of the homosexual debate, and even gay researchers have said they can't find a gay gene.

They all seem to say the major factor in determining homosexuality is environment. We do know there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that the behavior "homosexuality" is itself directly inherited. The behavior is a choice, the major factor undermining the urges are environmental.

What we need is the major media figures picking up what the experts are saying.

No, just that if you're offended, just walk away. Unpopoular, even vile speech is still free speech. If it's blasphemous, well, remember that vengeance is the Lord's: NOT YOURS. . .

There certainly are homosexuals in our society.

They are guaranteed Life Liberty and the pusuit of Happieness, just like you.

Would you rather deport them all? Or just pretend they don't exist?

This is The United States of America where all men are created equal right?

What you think is irrelevant.

OK, so the reason you're on a discussion board is so we can all bow down to your opinions?

Why don't you start a Blog site where you don't have to worry about what others think. FR is for back-and-forth discussions.

Shalom.

As for "Good Boy" I have no desire to see it,

Don't you think it's a good idea to actually see a movie before you comment on what is in it?

I mean, you can comment on what others say they have seen, but to tell me the gay agenda wasn't there when you didn't even see the movie sounds kinda stupid.

Shalom.

Good to see you too, Scripter.

It's been really hard to escape lately. They posted a new camera in the hallway outside my cell and I...

Oops! Gotta run!

I'd rather see them confined to an institute for the criminally insane until they are cured of their mental disease. They are a public health and safety risk that our society is toying with at it's own peril.

Yikes. ergh... going to take a shower now. (shudder)

Myself, I beat the shows to the punch and tell my kids about the phenomenon before it appears on their radar screen, and what we feel/think/believe about it. (does wonders for your credibility as a parent when you can say these things and magically, they really do turn out to be true!).

Ya just can't escape it! argh - better 'talk to your kids about it [homosexuality] before their peers do.'

(as in 'talk to your kids about drugs before their friends do.')

You must be reading someone else's post
Just a reminder, since this is a private site, JR can and does decide the "speech" that is acceptable on his site

You seem to want to inflict your self-asserted right not to be offended by language you consider blasphemous. Personally, I leave enforcement of anti-blasphemy rules to a Higher Authority. . .

And yes, this IS JR's Site. It's not mine, and not yours.
