FREEPERS...put up or Shut up!
Posted on 10/16/2002 8:13:10 AM PDT by Gopher Broke
Freepers.......time is almost GONE to help Republicans WIN BACK the Senate! We need to contribute money NOW in order to help. I just gave $100 by credit card today to the National Republican Senatorial Committe. Please match my challenge, or at least contribute something..
Click here to visit the NRSC to help.
If you prefer to give to individual campaigns, here is a GREAT site with discussion of the Senate races, including the 7 seats that are up for grabs. This site also has a link to each of the Senate campaign websites. One of the states will SURPRISE you!
Take back congress.org
Will Daschle keep blocking the Bush judicial nominees? Will the Senate Democrats continue to BLOCK the entire Bush agenda, including making the tax cuts permanent?
It is up to US. If you live in one of the states with the 7 hot Senate races (AR, CO, MN, MO, NJ, NH, SD, WV) VOLUNTEER. Everyone can visit the websites above and DONATE.
Let's win the Senate BACK, Freepers!!
TOPICS: Arkansas; Colorado; Minnesota; Missouri; New Hampshire; New Jersey; South Dakota; West Virginia; Campaign News; U.S. Senate

Why none of them voted against their pay increase?
I wish I could get a 5,000 dollar year pay increase for doing nothing.
Current pubbies are not a solution they are part of the problem.
Get rid of all incumbants and rats.

Warren, you can sit in a corner and THINK GOOD THOUGHTS if you want but in the real world, it takes MONEY and VOLUNTEERS to win campaigns....

Thank you dts, that's very helpful. More to the point, Gopher is right. Send money. Me, I've contributed to Thune, Forrester, Talent, Chambliss, Ganske & Coleman. The future of the country is at stake. Get in the game!

I was under the impression that fundraisers and solicitations of this sort were verboten on Free Republic.

I agree. Why should I help them implode? The day they stand up for Republican beliefs and put viable candidates on the ballot will be the day I give them money. Not before.

Like I told PBS, you still get tax dollars, then you don't need any more from me, cause you have my contribution.
I figure anybody that wants to spend millions for a job that pays 130,000 with perks, is an idiot.
Why would I want to put more in the senate?

Put up or shut up? I'll do neither, thanks. Go pi$$ up a rope. Pi$$ up a rope, BUMP! If I opened my wallet everytime one of these RINO bozo's came begging, which BTW is a constant thing, I'd be broker than I am. They gave themselves raises during this economic "slowdown", let them donate to themselves. Only a fool would give hard earned money to millionaires. Blackbird.

Current pubbies are not a solution they are part of the problem.Get rid of all incumbants and rats.
Spoken as someone who truly does not understand the system at all. Each elected official in Congress has dozens of paid aides. If an incumbant loses his seat, guess what? The old aides become the new aides. Congress cannot become "fresh" by voting out incumbants, it can't become "fresh" at all due to the sheer size and volume of the rules and procedures. Aides are needed to guide Congressmen and Senators through the maze of protocols and issues, and only through experience serving in Congress does the reliance upon those un-elected rulers become lessened.
Throw out the incumbants! Term limit Congress and the Senate!
With that battle cry you give the reins of power to the un-elected rulers of D.C. and make elected officials figureheads of our government.
Our goal should be to make sure that there are more liberal (i.e. Democratic) aides working at Starbucks waiting for the next election cycle than there are conservative (i.e. Republican) aides doing so. If you don't believe this is the truth, then you do not understand Washington, D.C.

Who says I don't?
I won't come on the internet & broadcast
my noble cause though. Some of us don't
need to show how much we care publicly.

I have given in the past and it's apparently never enough. They will call you EVERY night even when you tell them you HAVE already given. Telephone solicitation at it's worst.
