"Prime Minister Netanyahu, look, he governs a country that has obviously been a very close partner of the United States. But, even when we've been close partners, sometimes we have interests that are perfectly aligned and sometimes we have interests that are misaligned," Vance told Robert Costa in an interview airing this week on "CBS Sunday Morning."
Asked whether Netanyahu has made any mistakes in how he's approached his relationship with the U.S. on Iran, Vance said, "he's certainly gotten some things wrong."
Vance declined to give examples, saying those conversations "are better left in private."
"But what I would say is that he's been a good partner," Vance said. "We're gonna keep on working together. But where interests diverge, the United States is gonna pursue the best interests of our nation, and that's how it's gonna be."

What I appreciate about Netanyahu’s (conservative) challengers like Naftali Bennett is that while they appreciate a strategic US partnership, he and others make very clear that they don’t want toxic codependence on ANY foreign partner, nor for the US to boss them around either.

I really don’t see the value in Vance criticizing Netanyahu or what it gets the administration. If the administration wants to signal it has a problem with what Netanyahu is doing, they can have a blunt private conversation with him. But if they think they are going to score points with the press by doing this, keep dreaming. The press is out to kill Trump no matter what Vance or anyone else in his administration does or says.
Having said that, Netanyahu has made political missteps and its probably time for him to step aside and let someone new lead Likud. I’ve admired him for years and he has been one of Isreal’s great leaders. But every leader has his time and its time for Netanyahu to go before he is forced off the stage in some disastrous defeat.

Ditching Netanyahu and Israel won’t stop wars. If Israel is overcome, the Muslims will act like God is on their side, and the rest of our non-Muslim planet will be next. We can no longer hide behind our oceans.

Vance is only supporting his President Donald Trump. It was Trump who had words for Netanyahu, not Vance.

The problem you people have isn’t Netanyahu. You reject the idea that the Jews in Israel cannot be slaughtered in mass so the Muslims can rule supreme.
Vance’s problem is he doesn’t care about the survival of Israel. The Oct 7 attack from a place Israel had pulled every Jew out of and handed over entire to the Arabs convinced most Israelis that they cannot trade land for peace because their opponents DO NOT WANT PEACE.
NO ISRAELI PM can compromise with Hamas because Hamas does not compromise. Same with Hezbollah. And both are puppets of Iran.
Netanyahu has already started pushing for Israel to be totally free of any US aid because he knows Israel CANNOT TRUST THE USA. Too many here would be happy to see the Jews cleared out (aka, “slaughtered”) “From the River to the Sea”!
