Unquestionably, much of the Biden infrastructure plan is an unmitigated disaster. Brad Polumbo has an excellent article up that highlights some of the most egregious spending provisions of the Biden plan.
They include $10 billion to create a “Civilian Climate Corp,” $20 billion to advance “environmental justice,” and $100 billion to make schools greener by doing things like eliminating paper plates.
The truth is that while the Biden plan is a disaster, it exists – in part – because of the GOP’s own refusal to deal with the issue of infrastructure when we held the House, Senate, and the White House.

Then vote the RINOs out in the 2022 primaries!
Every. Single. One.
Yep, and now they are too busy trying to get power back from the Conservative pro-Trump Congressmen and Senators that they simply don't have time to address the BORDER CRISIS. And they wonder why people hang up on RNC calls for $$
Because of federal infrastructure spending, it seems like my city is unable to fill a pothole without filling out a request for a federal grant for it. By the time it has been rejected, appealed and rejected again we have a half mile of bad road that needs a federal grant to replace. < /only slight exaggeration >
The Republican wing of the Uniparty will like Joe’s plan just fine, lots of pork to spread around. It all pays the same if you’re them.
Take a look at upscale homes at realtor.com.
You see rooms with a modest amount of furniture, some wall decorating items, some linens, some rugs, kitchen and bath cabinets, stoves, refrigerators, plumbing fixtures, ceramic tile, etc.
Except for the building, their total cost is normally less than one year of K-12 schooling in New Jersey.
The rooms of a typical rich person’s house are typically bigger, but the typical rich person’s house may only use twice the wall exterior materials, roof trusses, joists, cabinets and wallboard and three times the plywood and roof materials of a middle class house.
The GOPe was the fatal cancer in the GOP.
Two billion would buy lots of machine tools and injection molding equipment.
Does China, the world’s supreme industrial power, even have two trillion in industrial capital?
“$174 billion to win the electric vehicle market.”
Car companies can already stamp out metal body parts, weld them together, and then paint them.
The $174 billion seems a lot for electric motor armature winding equipment and battery factories.
“$100 billion to build a more resilient electric transmission system.”
Why?
Millions upon millions of electric cars will have batteries that could be drawn upon to meet home electricity shortfalls.
“we never hold our elected officials accountable for anything.”
We have a choice, the incompetent(R) or the malevolently incompetent(D).
Then vote the RINOs out in the 2022 primaries!

The RNC will then immediately start the process of converting the newly elected people into RINOs. That’s what the party does in case you haven’t noticed. Newly elected people literally go through an indoctrination process that puts them on the road to being dependent on the party for support. Trust me, this is one thing the GOP is good at. (FYI people close to me have worked inside national GOP organizations so I’m not blowing smoke.)
The fundamental problem is that the GOP doesn’t have any fight in them. They are more like spectators than players.
We are in the political equivalent of a war and we need fighters. This is existential stuff now. Battles are not won by timid people who are always on defense (and barely that). Expecting the GOP to suddenly morph into an army of fighters just isn’t going to happen. That is why we need a new party with people who will fight like hell for us and don’t know what the word ‘retreat’ means. A party full of people like Donald Trump.
I think the only way that will ever happen is through a new party built from scratch. 75+ million voters are anxiously waiting for it.
That is why we need another alternative. “Our side” isn’t really on our side. That is painfully obvious by now.
“$31 billion in programs that give small businesses access to credit...”
Small business loans go by the name home equity loans.
The unmentioned part is how much of this is paying UAW domos to do “diversity” and “green” training at the plants...
“$25 billion in airports.”
Why?
“Battles are not won by timid people who are always on defense”
McConnell had Pelosi partially contained, then our once-beloved leader DJT raised the political ante from $600 to $2000 a head, costing us two Georgia Senate seats and Senate control over Blundering Biden.
The GOP is just as responsible for the ruination of this country as the Democrats, by their inaction.
