In NFL circles it’s no secret that CK simply doesn’t want to play football anymore. If an NFL team came out and publicly offered to sign him tomorrow, he’d come up with a bunch of lame excuses or ludicrous demands just so he wouldn’t have to go through the trouble of showing up.

He was not a top tier QB to begin with and even a top tier player who has not trained or played in 4 years is not coming back to NFL caliber. Add to that the simple fact that he is also 4 years older.

If any team owner believed that signing Kaepernick would cause a net increase the team’s number of viewers he would be signed in an instant. Professional sports are no different from any other entertainment industry. They are learning that when they stop entertaining they stop making money.
