As states, businesses, universities, and other organizations in the U.S. and across the world announce measures to tackle racial inequality and discrimination following George Floyd’s death, the University of California has taken it a step further and voted to reinstate affirmative action in college admissions.
The vote On Monday, the UC Board of Regents unanimously voted to propose rescinding the 1996 law known as Proposition 209, which outlawed “preferential treatment” for minority citizens applying to state colleges or government jobs.

Wouldn’t need affirmative action if UC bans foriegn Indians and Communist Chinese from it’s campuses. Whats the foreign population? 30 to 40% at some campuses?

Sorry affirmative action is banned by California law. All races must be treated equally.

When I was at UCSD Asians already made up a plurality at 48% of the student body. It would not surprise me if they made up a clear majority today. I'm afraid I don't have the breakdown of how many were foreign students vs Asian-Americans though.

They admit lots of foreigners because they pay full tuition.
Imagine that. A state university, paid for by the state’s residents, which prefers foreigners, because money.
