An N.Y.P.D. lieutenant apologized to fellow officers caving to pressure and kneeling in solidarity with George Floyd protesters in Manhattan.
In a June 1 email to colleagues, Lt. Robert Cattani said he feels like he made a “horrible decision to give into a crowd of protesters’ demands.”
Cattani and at least three other police officers conceded to a group of Black Lives Matter protesters on May 31 who chanted “NYPD, take a knee.”
The kneeling trend was started by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in 2016, who knelt during the national anthem as a sign of protest against racial injustice and police brutality.
In the email, Cattani said he took the knee in order to appease the protesters but admitted he made the “wrong decision.”

The idiot company commander didn’t know that kneeling in front of another man to both Sunni and Shia mooslums is an act of cowardice and weakness.
Years later after the incident, a publication interviewed the former soldiers who did that and most, around 90%, wanted to shoot the officer..

Once LBJ got settled in many did not work. Kids with no active fathers. The list goes on. Taking a knee. Get your A double ss out of America.
People are divided into alpha and beta types. Alphas are leaders. Betas are followers. Alphas are pretty rare; perhaps one in ten. That means lots of cops are betas. Betas are good at taking direction but don’t expect them to stand up for anything on their own. They will only do so if they have an alpha in the lead. Absent an alpha, expect them to stand down when challenged.

Every few years we must be reminded of what a man looks like.
It is core to police training to ALWAYS control every aspect of your interactions with the public. Right or wrong, that is just how cops are trained, and it frequently makes them come across as arrogant asses obsessed with their authority. Many cops don’t have the ability to dial it back when appropriate. But give up that control in the wrong circumstance and very bad things can and do happen. In the range of things that could have resulted from his weakness, at least this wasn’t fatal. He can always apply to the Community Safety Patrol in Minneapolis.

YOUR own troops ‘shed a tear for you’ but you probably would have tried to have them fired had they ‘apologized’ for your actions.
A lot of GOOD men and a few BAD have worn that uniform but in a STUPID SECOND, you managed to DISRESPECT them all.

Along those lines, do what you please when you are representing yourself but you dishonor all when you exploit your uniform and/or position.

Local police deserve 100%. The picture of the demon from Mel Gibson’s 2004 flick is a good representative of the set of selfish workers in every field. Demons hate the Lord and despise His Mother. Every police man should carry a rifle and a Bible in his car. Kneeling to black people is idolatry and against the Second Commandment: Thou shalt not have other gods.
