Alleged sexual predator Harvey Weinstein was fawned over by fans and friends on Thursday during a night out at an exclusive SoHo lounge where he allegedly sexually assaulted someone more than a decade ago.
The disgraced movie mogul sat in Cipriani’s dimly lit “Socialista” lounge — where he allegedly masturbated in front of a woman in 2007 — on West Broadway near Broome Street and was approached by a number of patrons who complimented him.
“I love your movies,” one man told Weinstein. Others shook his hand and rubbed his shoulder as he enjoyed the evening in the chic lounge styled after pre-revolutionary Cuba.

That constant fear of being misunderstood and possibly losing all you’ve worked for is not natural. Not even American. That constant worry tends to take the brighter colors out of social life, when it should not have to be that way.
No one should be sexually abused, but they need to act responsibly. In other words, harmless flirting should not get you dragged into a courtroom. People were becoming less comfortable with the ‘Always Believe Women’ motto.

Bonny and Clyde were rock stars in their brief time of notoriety. So was John Dillenger. Making criminals celebrities is not new, it’s the media that that is responsible for making them that way.
Seriously, how easily some people lose sight of the evil this man did.
Further proof that the only reason they went after Weinstein was to get Trump. Now that it appears to not have worked, it’s back to Business As Usual.

When the story broke about decades of sexual abuse of young gymnasts, there was a fair amount of commentary to the effect that it was the young girls’ responsibility to stop Dr. Nassar. Since they didn’t, oh well, they shouldn’t complain. The teenaged girls involved with Jeffrey Epstein’s ring, some say, were just making their own decisions to be sex workers. Same with Weinstein: for some, he’s a real alpha male, having transactional interactions with other free agents, because he can.
I brought this up the other evening when I was having drinks with my 23-year-old son. He said that attitude is not prevalent among the young men he knows at work, in college, and in his social life. For the sake of his sisters and other young women, I hope his perception is accurate.
I think most men are good and protective of women. Society couldn’t function if it were otherwise.
But people like Weinstein and Epstein operate at another level altogether. Their money and connections allow them to get away with crimes for years, if not forever.
The American people have allowed a very corrupt aristocracy to arise in this country.
Some people think all (or most) men would act like Weinstein if they could get away with it, if they were in a position that gave them the access he had.
I guess it comes down to whether you believe that someday you will have to give an account of your life to God.
That one believe puts a brake on so much destructive behavior.
Democrats are not really that concerned with sexually deviant behavior. Look how they embrace drag queens being role models for children. The metoo movement was created out of the mission to take down Trump. It failed miserably, with democrats getting hit with friendly fire. It’ll be back to business as usual. Democrats can only pretend to be moral for so long.
