Following President Donald Trumps announcement on Sunday that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi died during a US military raid in northwest Syria, a number of Democrats hoping to unseat him welcomed the news and congratulated US troops, but were mum on Trumps involvement in the risky operation.
In a statement, former Vice President Joe Biden congratulated our special forces, our intelligence community, and all our brave military professionals on delivering justice to Baghdadi. Author Marianne Williamson offered in a tweet Praise and thanks for the military bravery and brilliance that carried out the mission, and former Maryland Rep. John Delaney wrote on Twitter that hes grateful for the brave patriots who risked their lives to advance our safety and security.
With Trump and Republicans likely to characterize the mission as a defining moment of his presidency ahead of next years election, the lack of attention placed on his role in the operation could provide insight into how the field of candidates plan to discuss the news in the coming weeks and months.

Joe Biden gets his name thrown in?
Didn’t QuidProJoe state that ‘bin Laden is dead and GM is alive’ crediting Soetoro?
Obama repeatedly used the first person singular to describe the operation:
I directed Leon Panetta . . . .
I was briefed on a possible lead . . . .
I met repeatedly with my national security team. . . .
I determined that we had enough intelligence and authorized an operation. . . .
At my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation. . . .
Ive made clear . . . that our war is not against Islam. . . .
Ive repeatedly made clear that we could take action. . . .
I called President Zardari. . . .
I, as Commander in Chief, have to sign. . . .
They were too busy mourning the loss of Al-Baghdadi..after all the Dem Party and ISIS share the same ideology

Hey, Bush-Chimp-Hitler...
You said the war on terror will last decades. Where are your celebrations at this victory?
Frigging murderer.
Bush’s Fault!
Barry is just being modest, he piloted the helo, repelled down with a 60 in one hand (and the ammo belt wrapped around his neck), a cigar in his month and a martini in the other hand while he picked off the guards with hip shots. Once he hit the ground, he single handedly climbed up the wall, ran through the house, killing 25 terrorists with his grandpappy’s six shooter, finally finding Bin Laden and taking him out with a kill shot from 20 feet away. Then he jumped back into the super sonic stealth jet, piloted it back to DC, ripped off his uniform to reveal his tux and welcomed people to a state dinner.
True story.
But Obama was credited for capturing Bin Laden as if he were the one that personally went in that bunker to apprehend him. To this day do we even have proof he is actually dead?
Yeah, Baghdadi was a never-Trumper, and therefore democrats automatically loved Baghdadi.
Yeah - 0bama set it up ... after he released him.
Oh, Bull Roar
Panetta never even told Jugears of the raid until it was too late for him to stop it
Well, they lost their favorite statesman, the “austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State”...
Their heads are exploding, it’s interesting that Trump said they obtained actionable intelligence three weeks ago and he announced the withdraw of troops from the area two weeks ago...I voted for Trump, I will vote for him again, but he pisses me off at times with the things he says and the fact he can be thin-skinned...but, this is perfect example of why he is a great President, he gets it, he is the right President for the time...
Yeah and that picture of B.O.at the situation room looking like a janitor who just happened to sit in at the moment to watch the live feed.
Say what?
The shopped version of the picture with those strange hats on everyone's head was hilarious.
Very Good! LOL
Jackie Chan could do that, sure. It is way beyond Obola's paygrade. You are being very funny, though.
The DOJ has always been weaponized against corruption, it hasn’t always gone after the corrupt, but the means has always been there.
