President Donald Trump has been building a commanding fund-raising lead nationally for the 2020 presidential campaign. That trend is mirrored in rural Pennsylvania, where the president received more in campaign contributions than the four leading Democrats combined.
Trumps reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee raised $125 million in the third quarter of the year, a presidential fundraising record, according to the Associated Press The Trump campaign said that it has raised more than $308 million in 2019.
The power of incumbency is a major, major advantage, said Chris Borick, a political science professor at Muhlenberg College. Trump is following suit. Hes finding lots of success fundraising.
That includes enjoying an advantage in rural Pennsylvania -- such as the counties of Cambria, Crawford, Lawrence, Mercer, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Somerset and Union -- where there may not be tremendous amounts of potential campaign donations, but there has been strong support for the president, Borick said. Trumps popularity in working class areas of Pennsylvania was a key to his 2016 victory and will likely be instrumental in determining whether Trump wins a second term, Borick said.

Lest we become overconfident we must remember that ILLary outspent the President 2 to 1 in ‘16.
So why does FEC.gov have him at $165M?

This didn't happen in '16.
There weren’t four major Democratic candidates in 2016.
He’s getting a hundred bucks a month from me.
I’d like to see the figures for Allegheny County (Pittsburgh).
Best explanation I’ve come across of why fundraising matters =>

But more to the point, it sends a powerful message about the Presidents political strength - thats what has the Democrats worried.
He doesnt need the money for several reasons: 1) hes rich. 2) he is a master at getting free press. 3) he has honed his campaign rallies into the perfect campaign venues - while his opponents do poorly attended town halls, he knocks his rock star level performances out of the park every single time.
But the fact that he can raise so much cash so easily means his message is getting out, and that its well received.
This is very good news.

That is for sure impeachable. The dems got him now
What did Biden do with all those Ukrainian & Chinese “contributions”?
June was last month of receipts.
The $165M is through September (not posted until the 3rd week or so of October).
Yes, it was $125M at the end of June (not posted until the 3rd week or so of July)
It was not $125M additional for the 3rd quarter, or did RNC get an additional $85M somewhere?
Trump is said to be raising large amounts of cash with one simple sentence” “Help us defeat Democrat impeachment.”
I plan to donate to the MAGA campaign soon as well.

Meanwhile Joe Biden... tells folks to dig deep and throw good money after bad by supporting him ....
“Lest we become overconfident...”
That’s what I worry about. An attitude that Repubs are winning, why vote. IMO
Because I want to be part of the biggest electoral landslide since President Reagan trounced Mondale. (Maybe even bigger, who knows)
Thanks!
