President Donald Trump said that India has never invested in the U.S. like it is doing today and said he wants to strengthen the two nation's "cherished bonds" during a rally with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.
Organizers expected roughly 50,000 people to attend the "Howdy Modi" rally at Houston's NRG Stadium.
"We welcome India's growing investments right here in the Lone Star state. Nations around the world are investing in the United States because they know we have the best economy and best workers in world. We want to thank everybody and India has never invested in the US like it is doing today, and I want to say its reciprocal because were doing the same thing in India," Trump said.
He focused on the countries' investments in each other and highlighted the first-ever NBA games to be played in India in October. The Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings will face off in two preseason games in Mumbai.

It a sick world. We strip mine the 100+ IQ types form the 3rd world to supplant our workforce to save a buck. So there is a surplus of doctors in the third world? /sarc
Yes it was.

And the crowd shoutedm, “USA, USA”...there were lots of flags of India but also US Flags.
The crowd LOVED President Trump.
Sucking up to Indians doesn’t play well in Peoria.
the real future of the US is something Asian....

Yes, and this is because Asian nations believe the American dream in their own country. They value education, family, and hustle.
And the food! Indian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean and many Chinese dishes are just wonderful. Much better than the bland meat and potatoes I remember as a kid.
Asia brings the spice of life and cuisine to American culture!
LOL
Now, PP, not a thing wrong with meat and potatoes. And though American/Chinese is NOT authentic Chinese, it is also enjoyed. Sorry to say never had a hunger for Indian food. Believe it to be the curry. Unable to consume. Disagrees with meds taken. Japanese food = shrimp tempura. Toss in a pu pu tray of hors doeuvres, see a smile and good eating.
Meat and potatoes = meat loaf and mashed potatoes, green beans; I’m happy! Chicken Fried Steak/mashed taters or fries, lots of cream gravy. Thanksgiving!
He he. I guess if I didn’t live in the Far East and have a Japanese wife, the treasure of Asian cuisine would not be as sharp. But the Bennihana variety of steak restaurants should be delicious to Texans who love their BBQ.
Chicken Fried Steak/mashed taters or fries, lots of cream gravy... you bet, that sounds mighty good.
But a venue of 50,000 wild Trump supporters should (play well in Trump territory).

LOL it’s only a little after 8am and hunger is rooted deep.
We’ve had rain all night long. Have yet to fish on the lake. Have yet to even be in/on the lake. Not much of a water babe. BUT, do like eating those fish :-) Fish tacos, anyone?
When I was in the Navy, homeported in San Diego for 3 years. Introduced to Mexican food and loved it. Tex-Mex and fried fish sounds mighty fine...
The people there were Americans of Indian decent... I’d love to see a crowd that size of Americans of African decent too... cheery Trump on...
You’re right... very nice.
Typical GOP racist. Getting into the skin tone game I see.
And trust me - 30,000 ‘people of color’ cheering Trump on definitely ‘get under their skin’...
Rejoice va - it's happening - AND it's fun.
White MEN - be specific; nobody risks the wrath of the feminazis by canning useless ones.
Many white men responded as Western European men have for decades - they stopped breeding, and will contentedly check out without a care in the world.
It isn’t just about saving a buck - some of these Asian coolies aren’t cheap. It is also about rolling back 40 hour workweeks and other rights workers obtained over the last century.
Some European countries have outlawed texting/emailing workers after hours (even if they didn’t have to see the messages until morning); it sounds absurd, and will hasten job losses there, but the fact is people are under increasing pressure because they are “connected” all the time.
Regarding the doctors, we will see the same issue in the medical field that we’ve seen in tech: Americans will shy from a field that requires an investment of time & money if they think their jobs will just be given to Third Worlders.
