PLANO — Beto O'Rourke on Sunday said Democrats should be bolder in their approach to issues related to gun control, immigration, criminal justice and climate change.
"I'm a lifelong Democrat," O'Rourke told about 300 people outside of Artcentre of Plano. "For too long Democrats have played defense ... but just like Lucy with the football, every single time that we put our best foot forward and move forward in the spirit of consensus and comprise and start in that middle position, we lose it."
O'Rourke called for a different, less compromising approach, noting that attempts at consensus building have led Democrats to vote on hundreds of miles of border fencing, mass deportations that break up families and a mass incarceration of minorities.

Yes he said "we are going to take your AR15's and AKs". While I'm not a lawyer, In my opinion this amounts to a terroistic threat.
In the State of Texas a terrorist threat is defined as follows. It appears beto violated Part 2. and 5. of the statute. Maybe the people of Texas should be contacting Attorney General, Ken Paxton.

What would the government do with them? Destroy them? Sell them to police forces or third world countries?

Beto can say anything because he has NO chance at the nomination, but he is part of Democrats ratcheting up their anti-gun rights positions. They did not usually say they would confiscate guns in their public statements.
