Rio Rancho mayor says "zero tolerance" for anyone who displays violence or aggression
RIO RANCHO, N.M. We're only hours away from the gates opening at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho.
KOAT spoke with Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull about what people should expect Monday when President Donald Trump is in town.
This will be the biggest event Rio Rancho has ever hosted, and as you would expect, a lot of planning has gone into it.
Were dealing with a sitting president of the United States here, so theres going to be high security all over, Hull said.
Hull said a handful of police departments from around the state are helping out, but most of what people need to know is coming straight from the Secret Service.

This is going to be a fantastic rally.
New Mexico is so fortunate.

Best fun ever!
“Rio Rancho mayor says “zero tolerance” for anyone who displays violence or aggression..”
Except the anti fascist fascists.
Will be on a national TV channel?
We have attended 1 in WA state, tried 2nd one in NE Florida but it was packed full. Yes, 5 hours of fun! (incl 2.5 hour line to get inside venue)
Bump
This locally written article says even if you bought a ticket. Is it possible that the so-called reporter doesnt know that the tickets are free? There is no buying of a ticket.
Really looking forward to tomorrow. I’m planning to get there by 9 AM. It’ll be a very long day, but I figure I’ll get in. Also told the head of Bernalillo County Republicans I’d help out, probably handing out flyers, but only if I can do it without losing my place. I think I’ll be able to work it out.
Wow you got inside by only waiting 2.5 hours in line??
We waited in line about 6 hours in Mesa last year and got pretty close to the podium.
Great day, besides being a few feet away from our great President, we met a whole bunch of really awesome people!!
Got our tickets!
I called the BernCo GOP and asked if cameras (DLSRs with changable lenses) were ok. They said they didn’t think it would be a problem. On the Rio Ranch Web site, they don’t list cameras as prohibited items. Still, a bit nervous about waiting all day in line only to be turned away. Do you think a camera with a medium sized telephoto lens would be ok?
CSPAN COVERS ALL RALLIES WITH NO COMMERCIALS AND NO TALKING HEAD ANALYSTS INTERRUPTING.
Last I knew on camera prohibitions...
No cameras with detachable lenses and lenses 6 in. or longer.
Folks should definitely double check before they go.
I always watch live stream on Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) on YouTube. They always pan around the crowd and interview more people in between speakers, etc.

Weyell....the rally was in the very blue Washington state.
And add to that 2.5 hours another 30 minutes to find the end of the line which snaked around several blocks. And yes, all the people around us in the line were friendly, well dressed, and having fun. The 40-50 protesters looked like zombies in contrast.
