MANCHESTER, New Hampshire — President Donald Trump threw himself another big rally Thursday night, this time in Manchester, New Hampshire, a state he nearly clinched in 2016.
We invited Lucas Meyer, the president of the Young Democrats of New Hampshire, to attend the rally with VICE News and talk to Trump’s fanatical supporters about why they love him so much. He agreed to attend because it’s “instructive to experience.”
"Maybe I'll learn something new. I don't count on it. And part of it is I want to see it to, like, motivate myself for the next year and a half,” Meyer said before we arrived downtown outside the Southern New Hampshire University Arena. The last Trump rally Meyer attended was on the day before Election Day 2016 — as a protester. After talking with five supporters, he didn’t find much common ground, even with someone who once voted blue, Jennifer McCormick. She was a big Bernie Sanders supporter in 2016, and said she was “disgusted” by the way the Democratic Party treated him in the primary process. She has found solace in Donald Trump.
When Meyer told her he believes Clinton fairly won the primary race, McCormick questioned the fact that Clinton won the popular vote.
"I think that's a fact. I don't think that's an opinion. And the fact that won. No you disagree?” Meyer responded.

Exactly. The two sides “talk past each other” because one side talks facts and the other side talks shite. Popular vote is entirely irrelevant, so she should have given him no more time on that argument than on Hillary’s favorite pantsuit.
The same is true on any issue. Mention “gun control” and they’ll start yammering about “assault weapons” which is an artificial construct only they seem to recognize. Talk about abortion and they’ll give you “women’s health”.

Before mentioning other possible constitutional problems with voting process for president, patriots need to consider this. In my opinion, presidential elections have been reduced to deciding which constitutionally undefined political party controls state powers that the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds have stolen from the states.
Next, not only is there no popular vote for POTUS in Constitution, but there is also no such thing as state “winner-take-all” laws for electoral votes imo. Such laws not only nullify the voting power of many voters despite Democratic “all votes count” mantra, but also violate 12th Amendment (12A) electoral vote counting procedures imo.
Excerpted from the 12th Amendment: "The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice- President, and of the number of votes for each, which lists they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the seat of the government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate [emphasis added]; […]"
Also, not only do winner-take-all laws violate 12A imo, but that amendment also indicates only write-in candidates, nothing about state ballots providing check boxes for nominees of constitutionally undefined political parties.
In fact, how do the states manage to agree to make ballots showing names of nominees of rogue Democratic and Republican political parties without violating constitutional prohibition on agreements between states without consent of Congress?
"Article I, Section 10, Clause 3: No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any Duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State [emphasis added], or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."
And even if corrupt Congress approves political parties on ballot after the fact, it remains that-winner-take all laws violate 12A imo.

I DARE a republican to go to a Warren Rally and try to have a conversation with some hard core Dems. My guess it would go back and forth two or three times before there was name calling and screaming.

This is precisely what SCOTUS, IMHO, must teach. The Warren Court, de facto, taught the opposite in its 1964 New York Times v. Sullivan decision. That decision denigrated the right of an office holder - including judges - to sue for libel.In 1964 the journalism cartel had such a grip on the popular understanding that its “journalists are objective” propaganda was almost entirely unchallenged. The reality, which was entirely different, was that journalism was just as slanted in what it didn’t say then as it is now. Note well, journalism was just as much a cartel then as now. The wire services solidified that fact; the mere name “Associated” Press should tell anyone all they need to know.

The Sullivan decision was nominally not biased towards Democrats; plaintiff Sullivan was, after all, a Democrat. But he was a Southern Democrat.
Republicans must sue for libel in the teeth of Sullivan, and give SCOTUS the chance to rehabilitate libel suits by politicians. That is germane to this discussion because libel suits offer courts the opportunity to determine facts. That is after all their job, in the first instance - and without that discipline “liberals” - people who go along and get along with the journalism cartel - are entitled to their own facts.
