During Sunday’s “The Cats Roundtable” on New York 970 AM radio, President Donald Trump pollster John McLaughlin commented on the president’s chances in 2020.
McLaughlin told host John Catsimatidis that Trump is “on his way to reelection” in 2020 despite polls showing otherwise because pollsters “don’t know how to analyze” Trump voters.
“The polls, when they’re not done well, and they’re done as cheaply and inefficiently as they were done back in 2016, they’re going to be wrong again,” McLaughlin predicted. “They’re doubling down on poor science at the time. And they don’t know how to analyze these Trump voters because they don’t like talking to the media because they know the media is like 90% negative coverage of their president.”
He later added, “I truly believe the president is on his way to reelection.”
McLaughlin went on to describe the large field Democrats in the race “a derangement derby,” adding the Democrats will try to nominate “the most anti-Trump candidate in the field.”

Pollsters should be paid according to their accuracy.
They will be filing bankruptcy if they do no better this election than they did in the last.

Everyone at Free Republic says polls done this early are useless, and that polls done closer to the election are either wrong or fraudulent.

The mainstream polls are always hinked to oversample democrats. They also factor weight them more heavily. They justify it on the higher number of registered dems, living or dead.
You also have to watch their sample sizes and subject characteristics. Note how often they sample 1000 likely voters in Manhattan.
The first question you always ask when you analyze any poll or research study is: who paid for it?
As long as economy stays strong and we have a million more jobs than employees to fill them, President Trump is on a greased slide right back into the WH.
That’s how America votes.
Those *hidden voters*, aka *normal Americans* made their presence felt in 2026. It was shock and awe.
The people who stayed home because they despised Hillary, but were skeptical about Trump will turn out this time.

Well stated, Dilbert. I agree. Trump’s a known quantity now. And the Nation is kicking butt. Problems are getting solved. Trump is winning strong support from Blacks. On the Hollywood side, the Kardashians are in full support of Trump.
Trump is respected as a world leader. His model is being replicated in several country elections.
And I think enough people will fear that the good times end if Trump should be thrown out of office. Everything is looking up as long as Trump supporters show up at the polls.
I hope and pray he’s right. The next six years could see two SCOTUS vacancies. God help us if one of the RATS gets in. Unlimited immigration, taxes through the roof, Venezuela socialism. If a RAT gets in, it could bring us a revolution.

Anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, telling you Trump is going to lose in 2020 (short of a complete economic meltdown between now and November 2020) is either WHOLESALE IGNORANT of how and why Trump won in 2016... Or is FLAT OUT LYING TO YOU.
Trump will take every state he did in 2016, all by larger margins.
He will also take most if not every state he got 45% or more in, but lost in 2016.
The “battleground” states will be states he got between 40 and 45% in, and Trump being a fighter, will ACTUALLY fight for, and probably win a few of them as well.
There is no Democrat who can win in 2020, period. Work and fight hard, don’t get complacent.. but anyone telling you Trump is losing, is a fool, or a liar.

Our country’s survival literally depends on President Trump being reelected. Any other scenario is totally unacceptable.
My Biggest concern is what will happen after Trump is done.. because the reason the Nation has been in the state it is, is because the GOP and Dems both (for different reasons) want some of the same destructive things... Open Borders, and “free” trade.
Dems want them for voting base, and it allows for ever more intrusive restrictions on business, because things can just be offshored... and GOP wants them because their money men (Koch brothers and others) want it for Cheap Labor, and taking a cut of the wealth extraction free trade creates.
I have seen ZERO evidence that the Republican party is making any attempt to extract itself from this money dependency... so as soon as Trump is done, they will go back to the same things they were doing for the 30 years prior to Trump.
