NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Continuing his outreach to African American voters, Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg acknowledged Sunday that he needs to do more work to connect with the community, particularly in the early-voting state of South Carolina.
"It shows we've got a lot of work to do," Buttigieg said after a town hall with 600 mostly white voters in North Charleston, where nearly half the population is black.
Buttigieg is planning to do just that during his two-day swing in South Carolina, the first state where black votes play a major role in the presidential primaries. On Monday, he's holding a meet and greet in Orangeburg before sitting down with community leaders in Columbia.

He could always threaten to re-activate the KKK if the Blacks don’t seem enthused about supporting his campaign, it worked before.
Lies have been working pretty well for all Dem special interest groups. They just need to tweek the lies a bit. Maybe mention chains and ropes, that always works.
I’m pretty sure the Black community in Minneapolis is going to ignore Buttplug.
Many blacks didn’t know Obama was on the down low though.
If he doesn’t offer to hire rising Democrat Star Stacey Abrams to some position impacting elections then he’s not going as far as Beto.
He should enlist Jussie Smollett as his A-A liaison.
Someone needs to ask if America i ready for a Gay or Bi- Vice President!

The hypocrisy of the left continues unabated.
Choosing to appeal to one or the other demographic

If he’s down there, he’s totally wasting his time. Blacks want NOTHING TO DO with his type, and I suspect that he knew that before going ‘down there’ [as the Left sees the South].
Instead, he’s simply BAITING OUR SIDE, hoping that some high-profile Republican will say something that other Democrats can use in 2020 - butt so far no bites.
OK. So what about straight voters?
In the days of the KKK blacks voted Republican.
Ed Buck, wealthy Democrat donor, runs a special outreach program for Blacks. Maybe Buttigieg and Obama could visit one evening and put their heads together.

The people in DC want a ‘King’ or a ‘Prince’ to rule over DC. They already have good paying jobs and work for a ‘company’ that doesn’t need to make a profit, so they want someone who will allow them to enjoy their delusions of being ‘elite’... A white gay Rhodes scholar, well spoken and ‘humble in the good way’ is perfect for DC.
Mayor Pete would fit the bill. He’ll allow the Deep State to make the calls, and he’ll be a welcome addition to the drawing room/private club mentality of the city...
Mayor Pete’s already proven he can’t do crap to help a middle class city - so there’s no delusion he’ll be able to help everyday Americans - DC will love him even more for this flaw... And the black vote? No problem - they’ll give him a black VP to run with him... or better - a black woman..
Just start appearing in black churches with your “husband.” That will really convince them to vote for you.
Tht’s why they created the KKK, not only were the newly freed slaves now citizens, they were Republicans and WINNING Offices all through the Southern Democrat Plantation.
