As Democrats campaign for the Nov. 6 midterm elections, they have plenty of legitimate criticisms to level at President Trump and Republicans who control the House and Senate. But Democrats were hurt in recent days by amazing and disgusting comments made by Hillary Clinton and former Attorney General Eric Holder.
As a Democrat, I want my party to win as many seats as possible in the House and Senate and to capture as many governorships and other state offices as it can. But the Clinton and Holder remarks do not advance that effort they hurt it.
Former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Clinton said Tuesday that you cannot be civil with the Republican Party because it wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about. She added that if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, thats when civility can start again.
But even worse than Clintons comments were those of Eric Holder, who said at a recent campaign event in Georgia that Democrats should abandon the advice of former first lady Michelle Obama, who said at the 2016 Democratic National Convention that her party and mine should respond positively to negative attacks from the GOP....

They only care about their radical base, and the power they believe will carry the day for them.
The left runs on hate and division. That is what Saul Alinsky taught in his book “Rules for Radicals” which he dedicated to Lucifer.
Doug, why do you want Democrats to win anything at all?
Your party is Evil and absolutely f*cking insane.
Herself is coming to Florida to campaign for Andrew Gillum, running against Ron DeSantis for the post of Governor.
I do hope Herself puts in a good plug for candidate and FBI suspect Gillum.
There is a certain poignant quality to watching the delicacy of the kiss of death.
Those remarks by two high profile Democrats are not anomalies. They represent what the Democrats are today. This calls into question whether he actually regards those statements as “disgusting”. If he really does, he should be rethinking his party identification.
If they do win...what will be the look on their faces when the radicals turn on them?
They need to be dealt a massive blow on Nov 6. Make them double down.
It wont happen. If they won theyd govern as the leader of radicals.
Good. Let these 2 criminals turn off a whole lot more people and send them running to the Republicans.
They should “re-double” their efforts.
I can’t wait! It’s coming...Armageddon for Democrats! The idiots shot themselves in the foot over the Kavanuaugh Affair.
Doug is a relatively sober democrat, but even he cannot write an opinion piece without lying.
Fact - Trump passed tax cuts that benefit everyone and we are all enjoying the benefit now. It benefitted individuals on their taxes and it benefitted business that can employ more individuals with better wages ultimately in an economy that is growing. He lied in the article - period.
Fact - Trump is taking a lot of steps to fix healthcare across the board. Doug buys into the lie of Obamacare - only the government can make healthcare work. Trump believes that competition and a free market can make healthcare work even as we continue to cover those who cannot cover themselves. This was deceptive. The media is not really covering Trump and healthcare at all - no surprise.
Doug is in the same position Pat Caudell was in a few years ago. He needs to admit that his party has left him. He appears to recognize this, but he has not yet admitted it. It is the same realization make republicans faced a few years ago when they finally admitted that the Neo-con globalists and Chamber of Commerce had taken over the GOP.
Fortunately for the GOP power was taken back by the most unlikely of sources - DJT. The fact that Trump was able to win not only the primary, but the general election is still pretty miraculous when you think about where the GOP was. Sadly for Doug, the race to the far left appears to be the only recipe for the next democrat contender. He understands this, but he cannot admit that there is no real place for him in the democrat party currently. Doug may not live long enough for the pendulum to swing back as it surely will.
I like it.
Don’t help them Doug, they are doing fine.
You know the Dems are screwed no matter how this election goes. If they don’t take the House (their only real hope) they are total losers again. If they take the House all they can do is stop things from being done which won’t be enough to make liberals happy, especially since they are never happy anyway.
They are doomed.
Dems have very little to run on. What? More of Obama’s socialism and rule by dictates? Bernie’s ‘a freebie in every bundle’?
The only thing the Dems can do is run AGAINST — but that puts them running against a major economic recovery Obama said would never be possible again, manufacturing jobs which Obama said would never be possible again, lower taxes, lowest unemployment in several categories in history or at least in the last half century.
That was Hillary’s problem in 2016. She was running AGAINST. Trump was running FOR.
But, the Dems cannot rely on running on the same ole hot-button topics they have been running on since the 1960s. They need to update their playbook, but a promise of us becoming the new Venezuela of the Americas doesn’t sell too well.
In the old days when the parties weren’t that far apart it was easy to switch parties for people like Shoen.
That’s not the case now. You have to think of your family’s safety.
[ Hillary and Holder hurting Democrats with their amazing and disgusting comments ]
Yes they are. Showing what the leadership and Democratic candidates are really all about. The mask is off (for others to finally see).
Hillary:”Hi, I’m Amazing!
Holder: “Yo, mah Brothers, My name is Disgusting!
