Lynette Villanos grandson doesnt speak to her because of it, but shes still one of the presidents most die-hard supporters. Are there enough Lynettes for Trump to win in 2020?
The day after the 2016 election, Lynette Villano, a 72-year-old widow and clerk for the Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, sent her grandson Connor Mulvey a text message:
I guess you can probably figure out that Im very happy today, Lynnette began. Donald Trump is to your generation what Ronald Reagan was to ours. I am so fortunate to have been part of both. He defied conventional wisdom at every turn. Hopefully, I will be going to the Inauguration.
Connor, who was then starting his senior year as an undergraduate at Tulane, replied almost immediately.
Donald Trump is a bigoted imbecile who tapped into the racism and ignorance in America, he texted. Youre right, he is like Ronald Reagan. Hes going to leave this country in ruins and completely ignore minorities problems. The fact that he won this election is a blemish on the history of the United States. I will not be recognizing him as my President, because much like George W. Bush he failed to win the popular vote. The only difference is that I believe Bush was a good person who was manipulated by those around him. Donald is an arrogant asshole with a history of abuse, mistreatment, and greed. He and his supporters should be ashamed of themselves, but its evident they lack the self-reflective capabilities to do so. I want you to think long and hard about what youve aided in. My LGBT friends are scared. My Muslim friends are scared....

Conner apparently is a spoiled, ungrateful little bastard.
“...After two years of tumult in the administration, which has put forth policies that arguably help the rich and hurt the working and middle classes, these hard-core Trump supporters are also the people whom another huge chunk of the country still cannot understand...”
Ben Bradlee...You are a fool....
Some interesting comments on that link.
That unfortunate woman to have such an arrogant, rude little jerk for a grandson.
Hopefully, he will one day grow up and realize just how much the left has indoctrinated him.
Her grandson is a real piece of work. Hopefully, he’ll grow up a bit before she dies.
Worse, Conner’s grandmother is an enabler. For the co-signing of the $10,000 loan he should have gone to his own mother. Let him walk the way his mouth runs.
I was in a meeting environment Friday that was supposed to be non-political - an elderly lady just HAD to mention that she was upset over the events of the day (the Kavanaugh vote), then later that she is not allowed to see her granddaughter as often as she would like. I don’t know the girl’s parents, but maybe it’s because you’re a bitter liberal who’s always negative?
Is that the grandma??
Fake News! I can't think of any other politician, much less President , who been better at keeping his promises!
After treating his grandmother like dirt, he STILL went to her and asked her to be a co-signer on his note! Typical liberal! And being the nice grandmother, though the little $hit won’t even SPEAK to her, she co-signed. She should have let him learn through hard knocks about the real world. Then maybe he would have appreciated her view.
I don't discuss politics with relatives who disagree with me therefore I don't get into heated situations with any of my relatives.
Im fortunate to still have my grandmother alive at 86. Shes a big time liberal, gets most of her info from MSNBC and CNN. Theres some good natured political ribbing involved in most of our conversations, but regardless of her politics shes one of the finest people Ill ever know.
What a shame that people would put politics ahead of family. And while Ive read many similar accounts of liberals acting like this, I dont think Ive ever heard about a conservative taking this sort of action. Hopefully this baby will come to his senses before its too late.
For what its worth...If I ever acted like the man described in this article, my father (also a Trump voter) would undoubtedly disown me for acting like an a**. And rightfully so.
That is exactly what I was going to pull out. How can they get away with saying that the policies of trump are only helping the rich and hurting the rest of us.
Highest percent of people in the workforce in history.
Highest employment rate of black people in history.
Highest employment rate of hispanic people in history.
And, touching me personally, I am keeping more of my middle class paycheck, every, single time.
“”Some interesting comments on that link.””
Thanks. The comments reinforce my position that one should NEVER waste their time arguing with a Democrat.
Save your energy to get your conservative friends up-to-speed on the issues of the day and to VOTE on election day.
I know...These liberals say whatever they want and do not care if it is a baldface lie...
LOL. Nice one.
