President Trumps fight for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is breaking up the Never Trump coalition of GOP leaders and pundits, many who are now uniting behind the president in advance of Saturdays Senate confirmation vote.
Rocked by the wall of Democratic opposition no matter what evidence supporting Kavanaugh is presented and impressed with Trumps solid backing amid a brutal media attack, Never Trumpers are abandoning their opposition in a show of support for the man they once mocked.
One famous Never Trumper even told Secrets that Trumps unwavering support for Kavanaugh, a long-time public servant who worked for former President George W. Bush, himself in the Never Trump community, plans to vote for reelection.
Nationally syndicated conservative influencer Erick Erickson told Secrets, For the first time I see myself voting for Trump in 2020. And it has a lot to do with Kavanaugh. Hes not the only reason, but hes definitely the straw that broke the camels back.(continued)

My grandson is going to love it! :-)
I'm fascinated that a number of NeverTrumpers who call themselves "Republicans" and "conservatives" have effectively outed themselves as Democrats.
Benjamin Wittes, Bill Kristol, Jennifer Rubin, Tom Nichols, Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt, Ana Navarro, and Nicolle Wallace all came out against Brett Kavanaugh on Twitter.
They're Democrats, and can STFU in the future about being "Republican" or "conservative".
Judge displays a great sense of humor in that gag. He’s a great ambassador for baseball, much like Mike Trout, who is one of the most fan friendly players to have ever played the sport.
Why would I care what miserable quislings like these NeverTrumpers think or say? I take their votes but my message to them is GFY.
Abbie Hoffman, at 32, was the OLD MAN, telling the stupid kids "DON'T TRUST ANYONE OVER THIRTY" and the STUPIDS cheered! MORONS!
Mark Rudd was 30, Rennie Davis was 27, Angela Davis was 24, Tom Hayden was 29, Dohrn was 26, Ayers ( who had a different girlfriend back then, who was the LOVE OF HIS LIFE and was blown up nicely ) was 24, Kathy Boudin was 24 or 25, and Cathlyn Wilkerson was 23 and yes, I looked up all of their B-Days, to make sure that my info was correct. :-)
Horowitz wasn't in NYC, in the late '60s; however, he WAS a part of the stinking MARXISTS and they LOVED his writing. He was also BFF with Huey Newton and wrote glowing crap about the BLACK PANTHERS ! IIRC, it's probably these writings, of his, that first alerted me to Horowitz, way back when. And he also probably appeared as a a signatory, in at least one of the stupid double page "letter" ads that were published in the N.Y. Times. I'd have to check my "ENEMIES LIST" ( I would write down all of the names, when there were such things, as well as who was in the news and still have those lists somewhere. ) to make certain, though.
True and spot on, re both ! :-)

Trump doesn't toss people away because the going gets tough....I can't picture another President in my lifetime that would have stuck so solidly with Kavanaugh.
Many kudos to The Turtle and Grassley too....the Turtle is doing great with the courts and engineered the deal for Kavanaugh and Grassley handled it perfectly...which is probably why Collins gave the great speech which pretty much body-slammed the Dems and is one of the strongest arguments to confirm Kavanaugh we've been subjected to.
Yes he was a Marxist - but he was never a Weatherman. That’s my only point. By the late 60s, he was married and had a kid. I think he edited Ramparts Magazine and was a part of the Berkeley free speech movement. He may have been part of Sidney’s and Warren’s Scanlon’s Magazine. I know they eventually had a falling out with David. I think Christopher Hitchens for a while was part of the group but was too snobby for these guys.
And the dems have no one but themslves to blame for it.
Trump could not have won this kind of support on his own.
