Rep. Ron DeSantis, a conservative Republican running for governor of Florida, has resigned from the House to focus on his campaign, he told House Speaker Paul Ryan in a letter delivered Monday.
DeSantis, 39, has represented Floridas 6th Congressional District since 2013. He faces Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum, a Democrat, in a closely watched race this November.

Funny pic, but closer to reality in FL :)
One day a certain manager piped up and reminded us:
"hey guys, if you happen to see an expensive convertible Cadillac with the top cover folded down
and the driver is a short old guy who can barely see over the steering wheel
and you can just see a pair old gnarly white knuckles holding on to the steering
while doing 25MPH in the LEFT lane on the Main Road during the lunchtime Rush Hour and obstructing the traffic for miles behind him,
dont even bother blowing your horn at him - he's the MAYOR's and Police Chief dad!
“Ron WILL definitely win. Gillam has nothing to run on. He cant win statewide in Fl.”
From your lips to God’s ears. Believe me, I’m saying my prayers.
Ron DeSantis is going to be a great Governor.
