I want to hear them reply, “Senator, per the U.S. Constitution a sitting President is not subject to prosecution for any crimes and therefore cannot be compelled to testify in such cases. However the Constitution provides for a means whereby a sitting President may be indicted and removed from office and that is called impeachment. What, that can’t be true. Blumenthal is a well known Vietnam hero. He and his foxhole buddy John Kerry took out even more NVA than John Basilone did against the Japs in Guadalcanal.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal it isn’t up to the SCOTUS to judge the Executive branch. The only way to do that is Impeachment by Congress with the Chief Justice presiding. Any issue of Presidential privilege brought to the SCOTUS is moot.
You know....that’s the real solution to dumping Sessions. ‘Fire’ him by offering him the seat to the Supreme Court. That would really make things interesting.
