Sad...today, New York City and New Jersey voters, blindly walk into economic stagnation, few good job opportunities, lousy government, sky high taxes and MS-13 thugs and murderers running free of the leash. Voters there....are really "Not-Too-Bright"!!!
Ho-Hum, well...at least they will get the "Low Life Democrat Treatment" they deserve. New Jersey Taxpayers just really love and adore the drastically high taxes they pay!!! LMAO!!!
Some of us have hostages to fortune.
If I were you, I wouldn’t be so snotty. As far as I know, and I have an apt. here, NYC does not have MS 13. New Jersey I’m unsure of.
Believe me...I am not being snotty, just correct. It’s like the Obama farce. The “racist” guy came into office with sweetness and light, when in his heart, he hated the American nation.
Obama did his best to destroy the American Republic...but, the only things he destroyed was his own legacy, the entire Democrat Party, Bankrupted the DNC, caused the NFL to fail, did nothing for any African-Americans but prison them in economic slave plantations and left them much worse off, then when he came to the POTUS office. Shucks...what a guy...history will not treat him kindly!!!
Actually, you were being completely rude. I simply asked a question.
I am sincerely sorry if I offended you, but, the truth speaks for itself!!! The MS-13 Central American gangs, mainly from Honduras, have been allowed by the past “Obama” administration, with the help of local Democrat politicians, to flourish and expand, unhindered, from East coast to West coast, USA. Sad...but, true!! Sorry, if I upset you!!!
I'm not sure what fortune you refer to...
There can be many reasons. My countdown to departure from this state is somewhere between 4-6 years. Not happy about it, but like many others, don't really have the option to leave at the moment.
Francis Bacon
Or, in our case, elderly relatives. We can't leave yet.
Voted early this morning in my little neck of Upstate woods. Place was deader than a doornail. Sigh.
Kidnap them.
So you actually could leave, but are choosing to stay for reasons that outweigh being free of NJ...
Move a 90+ year old suffering from Alzheimer’s from an area he is still familiar with?
I think not.
Alzheimer's patients remember the past clearly, but the present not so much. Still, at 90, you are close to freedom.
Centenarians run in the family. We’ll likely be here a while yet. We’re very grateful we’re able to stay close by.
You seem to have a rather simplistic view of things. Technically speaking, of course, anyone can leave unless they are in prison, or destitute. That does not mean that there are not other reasons or factors that make leaving more problematic than staying for some period of time. That is the point I was trying to make. Life isn't always so simple, or so black and white as you seem to think it is.

I agree, but what I hear you saying is that you are choosing to stay. This is your call of course. People are prisoners for a great many reasons of their own choosing.
Im in PA part-time because our grandkids are here. But of course, it isnt NJ.
I am a prisoner in suburb of philly. I learned while living under Mt Mansfield in Vt during the late 70’s that it doesn’t matter what the place looks like or the hardships as long as you love the people you are with you will make it.
I left. I was in heaven and hell. Consequences of not following in the footsteps of my team leader Savior.
I am not complaining. I am simply saying that where we live is not like most of the rest of the state. We are in a beautiful town in a great county. You would not think it was NJ.
