The former Secretary of State and Democratic hopeful discussed how difficult it was for her to come to terms with losing to political wildcard Trump and said it was not what she expected.
“I thought I’d be a damn good president, I did not think I was going to lose,” she said in an interview with The Sunday Times Magazine.
Mrs Clinton describe her loss as “deeply troubling” and said is left her feeling a “sense of real loss for our country, that we elected someone who knows so little, cares even less and is just seeking the applause of the masses”.
“I feel a terrible sense of responsibility for not having figured out how to defeat this person,” she said. “There must have been a way and I didn't find it."
But she also said that, despite shortcomings in her campaign, they were “not the full story” as to why she ultimately lost.
She told interviewer Christina Lamb that Trump ran a campaign rife with “sexism and misogyny” and he himself “advocated violence [and] said all kinds of terrible things”.
"Trump was running a reality-TV campaign filled with personal attacks, giving people a great show,” she said.
"It was a combination of playing on the fears of people who are worried about losing out in the future by fuelling sexism, racism and anti-immigrant feelings.”
And she said the UK Brexit vote should have rung alarm bells for her as the same people were backing Trump’s campaign – namely former Ukip leader Nigel Farage.
“They thought, 'Hey, we've got this figured out, just tell a really horrible lie over and over again, keep people off balance and make them think that this will, if not make their lives better, make them feel better',” she said.
“They voted against modern Britain and the EU, believing that somehow this would be good for their small village. The same thing played out in my race, but I didn't think we were so vulnerable. But it turned out we were wrong.
“[Farage] came to the US to campaign for Trump and spent half of his remarks insulting me in a very personal way and talking about Trump as the alpha male, the silver-backed gorilla. Think of those images and what that says about what's acceptable and what's not."
Mrs Clinton said she also feels the Trump administration is now seeking to undermine much of her work as secretary of state under the Obama administration – specifically in building international relations.
“It’s not about me,” she said. “It’s about the message that sends to the world and what his priorities are, what he values and what he doesn’t.”
The former First Lady, who published her account on the election in a book titled ‘What Happened’, said she turned to writing as a method of understanding her experience.
She said the writing process helped, as well as having more time to spend with her grandchildren, but that she was still living the experience “every day”.
A friend gave me a little sign that says ‘I do yoga, I meditate and I still want to kick somebody’,” she said.
“I know that feeling.”
She's carrying on like a spoiled little child.
I think the Democrats are just letting her go on and on and on, because now they know she's out of the way forever.
It's like with algore in 2000. If algore had accepted the results of the election, he'd have been a viable candidate in 2004 (which terrified the democrats). However, by fighting the results and making an ass of himself, the democrats were able to get algore out of the way forever.
She was mentally unstable to begin with, but losing the election has caused this old, haggard narcissist to go over the deep end. We will be hearing this until the Lord comes back or until her last breath, whichever comes first.
I thought she'd be a damn bad president, probably as bad as Obama and maybe worse.

I tend to agree. She's not doing her democrat socialist party any favors and only hurting their chances for the mid-term elections.
Her responsibilities are to Satan, Soros and the UN, not to us. She took no responsibility for the deaths at Benghazi. She took no responsibility for blaming the victims of her husband’s rapes, assaults and perversion. She took no responsibility for fleecing the people of Haiti and she took no responsibility for calling 50% of the citizens of this nation deplorable, Her defeat is something for which we will always be thankful to God.

When is this bich going away in the trash heap if mankind. She has exceeded her sell-date by 20 years. She gives me the creeps.
Actually, Hill, Donald Trump is doing quite well. He has a great team, and fortunately for all of America you lost. It would have been HORRIBLE if you had won. Process this, and understand it PLEASE that you were NOT the best person for this important job.
Maybe this thought will help her.
You should feel no guilt for losing, Hillary. You tried hard and used every trick and tactic you knew. But you just aren’t very likable and people just didn’t want you to be president. Instead of feeling depressed, smile and think of all the people you helped make happy on the day after the election!
Possible solutions:
1. Find more dead people to vote.
2. Mass conversion of illegal aliens to citizenship by Obama writing an executive order to that effect. (Wonder why he didn't do it?)
3. Hire the Black Panthers from Philadelphia to stake out the voting booths in conservative strongholds.
4. Threaten to go "Waco" on conservative strongholds.
5. Promise to give the southern United States + Texas to ISIS if they would take care of Trump for you.
6. Promise to give illegal aliens the land of conservatives if they would crash the voting booths and demand to be able to vote en masse for Trump.
7. Promise to commit suicide two weeks after the elections if people would vote for you instead of Trump.
Seriously, millions of us are thinking there must be a way to put you in prison and silence you forever behind walls of a super maximum security (that underground prison) where we would never hear from you again and we just can't find it.
