For someone who was so reclusive during the election, Hillary has put forth a very bold public move lately, appearing very confident about her goals for President Trump.

She is trying to sell a book. By all accounts I've read, she is less popular now than when she was in hiding during the election. I think she was sick most of the time, but maybe her pollsters told her to lay low..

Is it really possible that could happen without war in the US?

No. Period.

Glad you voiced something that I’ve been thinking for many years now. Even though it elected that **** Clinton I think my vote for him makes my conscience a little bit cleaner.

Spellcheck wouldn’t have helped with that. Mr. Dictionary would have been a better friend.

Grammar-check would be better.

How about this gut wrenching choice:

You have a job, make $1 less than the Obmacare support maximum (67K for a family of four), have to pay 15K or so a year for medical insurance with a 12K deductible, then maybe another 15 or 20K for rent/mortgage, and another 5K for car and transportation expense, and some taxes, and then you have to eat... maybe...

But, if you make a $1 less, all of a sudden you can get the government support Obamacare promises for the working poor.

Do you try to work harder? Under the table?

Talk about disincentives.

The batqueen is unemployed herself. I hear Kenya and South Africa are short on white politicians. Maybe she should move there.

I think your numbers are about right. 67k-52k = 15k. Oops - Fed and state taxes, what - 20%? So that’s another 14k.

Well, at least that accounts for why my savings is getting tapped into on lean years.

Another reason she left DC.

The Federal number is probably lower. You said 20%, but that’s a marginal rate, not the average rate after personal deductions. When all is said and done, I’d be surprised if the net number was more than 5 or 10%—i.e., 5 or 6k. But, you’ve got to throw in Social Security (roughly 6%, or 3.6k) and some state taxes—maybe another 1 k.

Exactly. I left rat infested Michigan when the colossal failure Jennifer Granholm was Governess. Her rat policies threw Michigan into financial depression.

I lost my job and told my wife that day that we’d have to move out of state. We moved to another rathole, Maryland.

I think the ranks of independent voters will continue to fill. Hillary is just summarizing why she lost. Americans know they’ve been sold out by these creeps who have chased good jobs out of America.

Did they sell out America or have they just been ‘going Galt’ for a long time and nobody understood what was really happening?

What you write is very close to correct for millions of people, not just thousands.

When I started my business almost 10 yrs. ago as a sole-prop. I set aside about 40% for taxes. Now that whole scenario is flipped on its head. I am having to set aside over 60% to cover mostly government taxes or government type expenses.

Talking with a networking friend and they are in the same situation after running their previously successful business for 40 years. They are like I am ...busy as a bee in a field of clover...but we’re not MAKING money prior to 0bama. It is being sucked away from us via government regulations.

Yes, there is comes a point of sacrifice to grow a business, yet in this climate we look at what we have and there is a huge conflict with being able to afford to hire someone and keep food on our own table?

Government regulations are not a small part of this. EEOC, OSHA, EPA among others do not want me to create a plant in a rural area. One-size-fits-all regulations are much easier to manage (for them), and those “middle-of-nowhere” facilities are hard to monitor.

And nearby hospitals, distribution facilities, mechanics, doctors, lawyers, and other services and businesses needed to function have mostly shutdown over the last few decades, in large part because of government regulations. There are grants, tax credits, and other ways to offset some of the regulatory costs if we do business where the government wants. But not “out here” - it’s hard to monitor so the government doesn’t want to offset the costs and encourage growth.

And we don’t even need to talk about what students have been taught in schools. For the last 20 years, we had a choice of teaching the basics and shop classes like we used to, or getting government money and teaching what DC wants. We had to take the money, because we couldn’t afford to update the school buildings and staff to meet your regulations without it. If we had a starbucks, our graduates could probably compete for jobs with the best grads your big city has to offer. Metal shop in high school would have really helped for the jobs a new plant would need. Our kids have had as much shop training as your big city kids (none) but you only subsidize training if we build the plant in your big city.

So, yes Hillary, jobs have moved to big cities where it’s easier for you to monitor and enforce government regulations. No doubt as you intended.

Unemployed? I thought maybe Hillary would suggest people give a half-hour speech for a fee of $500,000. Works for her.

It’s the Democrat-run cities and states that are bankrupt hellholes. Republican states DO NOT WANT the Democrat urban dwellers from the Evil Coasts coming to our states to cause trouble. You fouled your nests, Liberals, and we don’t want you fouling ours. Suffer.

How dare she suggest that folks might have to LEAVE the place that they call home. Illegal immigrant dreamers can’t LEAVE the place they call home. Why should citizens?
