As Democrats survey the political landscape and focus on rebuilding the party after the disastrous 2016 election, theres no denying that a change in leadership is desperately needed. One of the primary complaints leveled by Democratic supporters during and after the 2016 election was the lack of diverse faces in leadership positions. A party once led by Barack Obama and his picturesque first family is now scrambling to find candidates that can excite millennials and invigorate the base. It should come as no surprise to anyone well versed in Washington politics that managing to do both is no easy task. Politicians like Obama come along once in a generation.
This fractured relationship was clearly evident in the 2016 presidential campaign. Bad blood between Sanders and Clinton supporters during the presidential primary spilled over into the Democratic convention and hampered Clintons ability to unite the base in the general election. While Clinton certainly ran a flawed campaign that suffered from weak messaging and questionable strategic choices, its undeniable that soft support from the Bernie wing of the party contributed to her historic loss.....

And, don’t forget Kamala’s race card tucked away
in her sizeable butt crack....
I will teach you folks a little trick on how to find the next Democratic candidate for President.
Somewhere in their past will be a missing or very poorly documented several years. Usually this happens in the late teens or early twenties.
(At that point they were recruited by the “Intelligence Community” who promised to “make them a star”.)
—End of conspiracy rant—don’t know who that is—but the truth is out there...
I think you have a clue to the candidate on the democrat ticket.
According to your made-up definition. But in reality, she was born here, so she’s covered.
“The Democrats should have Jim Comey lead the charge.
Isnt he still out of a job?”
I’m sure he has no financial worries.
Stupid
Waters-Clinton, a real winner!
Selling Harris as a Negress is going to be a chore.
Hindsight is 2020, just saying.
Kamala better look out for Hickenlooper. He’s a sneaky-good retail politician, and cagey at presenting as moderate. There are no front runners yet, though.
Looking at presidents since Republicans broke through in 1952 with Ike, the parties have traded 8 years of rule with only two exceptions. Reagan and GHWB strung three terms together and Carter was so miserable no one could stand to put him through another.
This nation charts a central course by tacking left and right in a very noticeable pattern. It usually changes the presidency in an 8 year cycle, and it usually handcuffs every president at some point by electing a majority of congress critters from the party not holding the presidency.
The last peak of Democratic power was during LBJ. Dems held the Presidency and a supermajority of congress, including 68 Senators. Will Trump mark the peak of Republican power for this cycle?
I saw some thread suggesting Kasich and Hickenlooper would team up. A RINO/DemonRat dream team.
I bet they couldn’t win Ohio.
Perhaps autocorrect substituted “picturesque” for “grotesque”.
” picturesque”
They need proofreaders, too.
The writer misspelled grotesque.
come 2024 the electoral votes will be reapportioned /s
Barack Obama and his picturesque first family
What family? Other than Michelle and the kids, Barack Obama’s personal and family history is a puzzle wrapped by an enigma and encased in utter secrecy.
The party of JFK is long gone.
Well let’s see the Democrats have no message they have no money and they have these two as their great brown and White Hopes? Bring it.
“Kamala Harris and Kirsten Gillibrand will lead Democrats to 2020 victory”
The laugh of the day!
A California politician and a New Yorker will not win the Trump area...same trash...
It is amazing the Democrats cannot figure out the average self supporting American voters are not all that impressed with illegal, fag, and Muzzie right taking precedence over their rights. So what does the Democrats do? Get even more radical, that will impress the voters
