Bernie Sanders supporters switched their allegiance to Donald Trump in large enough numbers last November to sway the election for the real estate billionaire, according to an analysis of voter data released Tuesday by the blog Political Wire. Since Trump’s shock victory over Hillary Clinton, much discussion has focused on the degree to which passionate Sanders supporters’ refusal to embrace Clinton led to the Republican winding up in the White House.
According to the analysis of the 2016 Cooperative Congressional Election Survey, fewer than 80 percent of those who voted for Sanders, an independent, in the Democratic primary did the same for Clinton when she faced off against Trump a few months later. What’s more, 12 percent of those who backed Sanders actually cast a vote for Trump....

Well with a credible source like that it must be true.
There may have been some voters like this but my best guess is it was a very small number. Not voting or voting for Jill Stein or some other maybe write in person would be the bulk of what disgruntled Sanders voters did. Sanders campaigned for H during the campaign a little bit as well.
I think the fake news might actually be right on this mark.... BUT they seem to ignore that TRUMP HIMSELF made appeals to Bernie voters...because he KNEW that they, too, were sick of the business as usual.
Trump also said that Bernie, though crazy, was essentially right regarding trade, and how the American worker was not being put first by Washington.
One more thing: didn’t Trump go to VERMONT and do a rally there? I recall him packing out a theater somewhere in Bernie country, and even though he lost VERMONT bigly, it showed me he really wanted to be President of everyone.

There are many terrible reasons for President Trump’s victory, but there are two things that were not a factor. First, Hillary was the perfect candidate; nothing she did harmed her candidacy in any way. Second, President Trump was the worst candidate imaginable; nothing he did helped his candidacy at all, except with racists, sexists, bigots, and the rest of the basket of deplorables.
I suspect if you lined up a hundred Bernie-voters...less than five would have gone to Trump as an alternate situation. I do believe that fifty-percent of the Bernie crowd simply stayed home and refused to vote. In states like Michigan, it would have made a difference...had they shown up and voted for Hillary.
If you read the article (I know, how quaint) the not only mentioned it, they prominently include Trump’s tweets to Sanders supporters. Pretty good article really, the numbers are very specific and seem right to me.
Of course they may very well have been balanced out by #nevertrumper Pubs.

And still, the MSM refuses to fault the Clinton strategists or Clinton herself for phoning Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan in.

I know a few Bernie voters, they HATE Trump. Just sayin.
What I found funny was seeing on the electoral map by county and Trump actually won in one county in Vermont and that was one of the two or three in that state that immediately border my country. As a further note, I thought it grand fun discovering that he won most of the counties that immediately border Canada (even in blue states like MN or WA or NY or VT or NH).
Only insomuch as they stayed home or wrote in Bernie.
Anything else is bogus
Sanders voters stayed home.
Democrats were playing the antihistory and brand & celebrity card, and then Trump came in. We got history, brand and celebrity in a candidate.
