Wisconsin's Republican Gov. Scott Walker encouraged President Trump to tweet more on Friday, in stark contrast to recent Republican backlash over some of Trumps more incendiary tweets.
Unlike others, Id tell him to tweet more, to be on Facebook more, to get the message out more, but to be focused, Walker told FOXs Julie Banderas.
He praised the presidents direct connection on social media with all these great Americans.
Tweet more, Im fine with but dont get off in the weeds on other issues, the 2016 presidential candidate said. If the president focuses on the issues he was elected by the people to do, the American people, I think, will come along with him.
Trump started a media firestorm Thursday morning when he attacked MSNBCs Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Twitter, adding to a long list of tweets during his presidency taking aim at his media critics.
He sparked criticism from both sides of the aisle. A growing number of GOP allies have since directly asked Trump to stop tweeting.
Works for me!
cool!
The college dropout gets it. Free thinking is so rare.
Several of the richest men in the world are high school and college drop-outs.
Nothing wrong wioth what Trump said about Brezinsky. She and Joe Blow have been trashing him for mjonths calling him mentally ill etc.
I love that trump fights back. Unlike the repub congress who pee their pants everytime the media says boo. Its the best part about trump.
Keep it up DJT!
If Hildebeast had won, and she was tweeting, the media would be praising her all over the place for using new technology.
HOORAY Scott Walker
HOORAY President Donald j. Trump
Thank you, sirs.
‘media firestorm’ as in the pantie boys in the press got all hot and bothered.
“The college dropout gets it. Free thinking is so rare.”
Well, if there is one thing we know with absolute certainty, it’s that there is no such thing as free-thinking at American institutions of “higher” education.
This will do wonders for Mika’s career. She’s probably going to be on the cover of PEOPLE and be making appearances on the other cable channels. She may even get a spot as a keynote speaker at the next Democrat convention. Or perhaps run for office herself! Poor ole Joe is now second fiddle. He’s toast!
Walker is smart. He has figured it out.
Avoid FakeBook.....
Twitter needs Trump much more than Trump needs Twitter.
More tweets.
Less twits.
The media is “bothered” because the President has taken their space.
Name one governor of any state that has accomplished more in the past twenty year than Scott Walker.
He would have made a good president.
I applaud Walker’s supportiveness. Beats the hell out of all the sissy Republicans wanting to “manage”’the POTUS.
But I think he’s missing the strategic purpose of a Trump’s tweets if he thinks he should focus on the issues.
Trump is purposely using razzing or “trash talk” just like in sports - you try to get in the opponent’s head, psych him out, distract him, fake him out - you see it in all sports - it really works.
Trump is doing something amazing to the MSM right now. For decades the left has used the media and PC guilt tripping to bully conservatives and make them feel afraid to speak out.
If you want to be responsible and cut a budget you are a racist or you are throwing granny over the cliff.
The left has ruled the airwaves and the public square for decades with these tactics and effectively silenced conservatives. Reagan was so quick witted he managed to get around it somewhat, but that lasted exactly 8 years and then back to square one.
Trump is using geurilla tactics to make a fundenental change in the power equation. It’s not persuasion like Scott Adams says. It’s verbal warfare and he’s winning. He’s taking away their safe spaces and making them think twice about what they say.
Sometimes it’s a bit shocking but I think it has to be in order to work.
At least two a day. Love the liberal meltdown.
