Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) hit President Trump for his decision to fire FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday, calling on Congress to "get their heads out of the sand" and use a special prosecutor to investigate Trump.
Trump made the bombshell announcement on Tuesday afternoon, saying it was based on the recommendation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy, Rod Rosenstein, according to White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
Trump argued in a letter to Comey that the FBI needs a new leader so it can restore "pubic trust and confidence."
Warren responded to the news, saying, "we need a real, independent prosecutor who [Trump] can't fire, Sessions can't intimidate and Congress can't muzzle."

Clinton used a private email server as secretary of State and was investigated over her handling of classified information by the FBI under Comey, who announced last July that he would not recommend any charges be brought against the then-Democratic presidential nominee.
The FBI is now investigating possible ties between Trump's campaign and Russia, which the intelligence community concluded had meddled in the presidential election to help Trump win.
And that's a conservative estimate.

Tucker Carlson must not be very smart. He has a guest on who asserts, as it were, that Comey has JUST NOW started to investigate Trump and his supposed collusion with Russia and that is why Trump fired him. Carlson was too stupid to inform the guest that Comey has been investigating the supposed collusion since last July.
I agree with Warren, in light of the incapability of Comey, an Independent Counsel should go revisit the Hillary, Huma, Foundation issues and let us know what they think.
