With 54 percent of precincts in Georgia's 6th congressional district reporting, Democrat Jon Ossoff has 50 percent of the vote, followed by Republican Karen Handel with 18 percent and Republican Judson Hill with 10 percent. This special election is being held to fill the seat left vacant earlier this year by Republican Tom Price, who became the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services. The district covers areas of metro Atlanta, a conservative stronghold that was barely won by Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. There are 18 candidates in the race, and if one does not receive a majority of votes, a runoff election will be held in June between the top two finishers.

OSSOFF JUST WENT BELOW 50%!
Yeah!!!
Sure is taking a long tie for the returns to come in. Hopefully, he’ll hold under 50.
I don’t get it. There should be someone the DNC Chair answers to, who can tell her to pick up the pace! Crack that whip.
Is she trying to essentially leave that post vacant during Trump’s first term, and offer no leadership at all?
This would be an excellent opportunity for the right young person. I’ve seen plenty of women in leadership roles before.
From what I have seen and heard, Ronna is offering very little leadership and very little reaction to the daily word-bombs from liberals. I may have missed something, absolutely.
GOP chair is always low profile in a GOP admin - Trump is leader of the Party not her.
There may be some truth to that. Not every RNC head is going to be a natural showboat-policy wonk like Newt Gingrich.

He may win anyhow, but the sheer joy I feel at the democrat panic for the time being has me laughing my Ossof.

It seems to be taking eons for those last 35 or so precincts which have not reported to count their votes. Must have been more than 21 votes cast in those precincts.
A real shame irs her
48.1%. He failed.
Seems like the GOP tried real damn hard to lose this seat.

Now how’s the Republican candidate? Anyone in GA06 give us info on her?
Mainstream Republican in the Boehner-McConnell mold by all accounts.
